I have eaten here probably 10 times total now since they re opened. I would say 80% of our visits have been top notch meaning food and service was on point. As far as price, I do believe that Smugglers is mostly aligned with the prices at other comparable establishments in the area. There were 2 visits that my plate of food came out cold, fish and waffle fries. The fire baked pizza is really good and a great take out item! We don't go out to eat much these days because it's too expensive(anywhere) but when we do, Smugglers is always a top contender.

First the oysters were not prepared correctly, they were sent back and then returned to the table and still not good. The entree wasn't worth the money either but the drinks were great however the bar was extremely slow.

Our second time here and it was as enjoyable as the first. The lake side views were very pleasant and the colors were fantastic. May even come back in the winter when the weather permits.

Limited parking near building, you have to park down the street and cross the road. We got there early but they seated us right away. Our server, Emma, did an excellent job. The food wasn't good at all. I had the Duck Bacon & Sweet Corn Rangoon $22. There were 5 or 6 of them that were mostly filled with cream cheese, like any other rangoon. The special was German Rouladen, meat rolls filled with bacon, onions and pickles. There wasn't much in them but dry, chewy shredded beef. My partner had the Filet Mignon topped with crumbled blue cheese. It came out covered in a thick blue cheese sauce, completely overpowering the steak, even after they scraped all they could of it off. Will not go back.

We went in for dinner, and ordered from the October German menu, I have eaten in many authentic German restaurants and I can tell you this Chef know what he is doing. Then meals were not only perfectly delicious everything was presented as a German meal. Now this was our first time dining here and we fully intend making this place one of our favorites. Staff worked out very well as did the kitchen, meals were on the table quickly hot and ready to eat. Very clean and confutable. AAAA++++ Buzz and Shelly

Food was fantastic, we brought our daughter and son in-law for the experience and they loved it. All the doors were open facing the lake with a nice warm breeze coming in. Also there were some students there for homecoming which made the ambience awesome! We had a mixture of different foods from fish to pizza and pasta with chicken. We also had the trio dips for an appetizer, amazing! Serves was great ! And I forgot to mention the ice cold beverages!! We will be back!

The atmosphere is top notch and the service was excellent. We have dined here often and had delicious meals. We dined on Saturday August 30 to celebrate a family member’s birthday, the prime rib was the special so two of us ordered the king cut to share with our party of 4. The meat was tender but had absolutely no flavor, very disappointing. My steak fries were overcooked and hard so it wasn’t the celebration we had hoped for. W are hoping this was just an off night and one time experience.

We really enjoyed eating here! It was a beautiful day and we were on the patio. Having a lake view was great and the food was all amazing! I literally danced in my chair over those duck bacon rangoons! DELICIOUS. Service was a little slow, but we never ran out of drinks or anything like that, so not worth taking away a star. If we are ever back in this area, we will definitely be coming back here!

We've previously enjoyed the service, food and music at this restaurant. However very disappointed with the service last Saturday night. We had a reservation for 7:30 pm and the restaurant was not very crowded. Our waitress was totally inattentive. Drinks arrived staggered, or not at all. Old fashioned was made incorrectly, we sent it back to have it remade then it was returned much later, totally watered down with melted ice. Was told by another employee that the waitress made the drinks, not a bartender. An extremely long wait for our food to arrive at the table. Waitress ignored us and we had to ask a random employee for my salad to be brought. Offered free dessert and first round of drinks for our inconvenience. Did not get the free dessert because of the extremely long wait for the food. We were told they had a private party at the same time and couldn't keep up. Seems like there's some process and management problems that need to be addressed. Disappointed with the service and unfortunately won't be going back anytime soon.

Great food and an eclectic menu. All the staff members were extremely friendly. It's quite loud inside when the big deck doors are closed, we assume it would be great with them open. Nice outdoor seating area on the lake, unfortunately it was raining when we went.
I had the truffle mushroom burger, which was well-prepared. I recommend the baked beans as a side! My wife had the goat cheese stuffed chicken and said she really liked it. Looking forward to visiting again when we're in the area to try out other menu choices.
