Small town bar with a small town feel. We caught them the week before the closed for the winter, and I'm glad we did. The food was excellent, and the staff was very sweet, despite the lack of hands on deck. I look forward to coming back next year!

Classic, well-priced bar fare. Couple of TVs with sports showing. We went here to try the fish, but they were sold out by the time we got here. The server was amazing, but poor thing was running around to every table and the bar all on her own!

Nice little tavern, a bit loud as it is all wood inside. Food was good, the service was great! Our waitress seemed like she was waiting on every table in the place but was fast and efficient. Nice place to eat for the evening.
Owner shouldn't sit and drink at the bar trash talking people.

We called ahead of time and was told they could accommodate 14 but wait till 8. We did just that when arriving there were two waitress and a cook we were informed. The waitress with glasses and skeleton hands on the front of her shirt was GREAT!! The snotty waitress I should have gotten her name but should not be hard to figure out since only two and we went there for dinner Friday August 9th. The rude waitress told us we cannot accommadate that many. We explained we had called and were told they could. Rude waitress then proceeded to tell us well you will find tables when people leave and you cannot put tables together as they will cause clutter. Umm ok. We had three children with us as well. So we all spit up. Three adults and their children went to the back table where Busch sign hangs on the wall. Us four ladies took a table for four by the side door and our husbands took the table across from us by the bar. No biggie. Then the RUDE waitress came to our table and stated that it would be anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half to get our food even if we ordered right then. Ok np we will get more drinks if need be. When RUDE waitress came to get drink order I asked if they had coke or Pepsi products she turns over menu and said the drinks we have are listed on the back. Umm ok two of us ordered cokes, one club soda and the other wine. The cokes were in a can ok np we were given solo cups and as one of the women I was with pointed out everyone else had glasses except for us two with our cokes. The table with the children the adults had glasses. Strange? I pointed to my husband said the man with the Busch beer we will be on the same bill. RUDE waitress said we will figure that out later. Now came time to order food. The GREAT waitress with the glasses as I said was great. We go to order food I remind her that we want separate bills and she glares at us and said it's all gonna be on one and you'll have to figure that out. One of the women told her we were all waitresses at one time and she just talked over her and I can't recall what she said due to by that point if I had not been with a group I would have walked out actually before it got that far. I can't tell you what the group ordered with their children I can tell you my husband and the other men all ordered perch dinner and beers. Our table starting with me had a patty melt with poutine fries it was fabulous! Another had a Ruben with a salad, one a burger with a salad and one was perch dinner. Again all the food was hot and very tasty! Hats off to the cook!! Idk how much the bill was as one of the women I was with picked up the tab and left a 20.00 tip. I would have left nothing! She was a better woman then I. There was no reason for this waitress to be as rude as she was. We are not entitled nor did we carry ourselves that way. We asked normal questions and again was told over the phone they could accommodate us. We drove from the Hiawatha Sportsman club where we were staying as that is about a 30minute drive to Newberry. I have been on this earth 63yrs and all the years going out to eat while on vacation in different states or at home I have never been treated so poorly!! Also when the other lady ordered another glass of wine RUDE waitress just brought small unopened bottle to the table. We were made to feel like we were bothering her. This RUDE waitress needs to find other employment where she does not work with the public. Again the other waitress was GREAT she was friendly and again the cook did a fabulous job! The place was clean as well. RUDE one was horrible!! Would I go back yes because the place was clean and the food was GREAT, but if I had the same waitress I would walk out.
