Oldest place in Michigan. Guy Fieri out here from drive in diners and dives. Hot Ham Sandwhich is enormous. Personally I would like the ham grilled longer be none the less. Meat is fresh, juicy and full of flavor. Goulash is good also. Place is always busy. Love love love
I dropped by the Old Tavern Inn because I was interested in its claim of being Michigan’s oldest business. That is a cool feature, and there’s a nice booklet hanging near the bar that details the history, but the food and service were excellent too. The bartender was friendly and it seemed like a welcoming place. The food had big portions for decent prices, and the hot ham sandwich was way bigger than I expected. We were visiting from Indiana Thursday evening on a motorcycle trip so decided to stop in for a snack was very impressed with the food and service will definitely be a go to bed on future trips. Plan on coming back Sunday and see if we have another great experience.
