Lots of variety and love how you can walk around social district with the wine. Also love how yiu can pick samples, half glass or full glass.

I've been going here for years and understand the negative ratings so my 2 cents. It IS a lovely shop and the employees are amazing (high ratings) EXCEPT for one employee who is SO not nice (low ratings). She consistently treats us poorly and we used to buy 1-2 cases regularly! But now we pop in and if she's working, out we go. In a bind, we'll pick up a couple bottles but even then she manages to be condescending. Ugh. Example - We're picking out a case so we needed a place to put bottles and she suggested the counter and I said that works but please don't ring us up since we want to browse. Of course she starts ringing us up and then the other register is ringing someone up, then a 3rd person wants to buy and go, and somehow it is our fault that she started ringing us up blocking up a register when I told her we wanted to browse. OMG! Who does that?!?! And why would she even say something to us even if it was our fault, which it wasn't?? Another example - We bought a wine there a couple months ago and we wanted more but she insists with a snotty creepy smile that we didn't. We insisted so she looks it up and of course we bought it there a couple months ago (b/c contrary to her believe, we are not idiots) but instead of 'oh, my mistake' or even in the first place, not acting like we are idiots, she's like oh shocking, we did carry that, should I order it. We declined - we can order it elsewhere from someone who's nice. She also, unfortunately, cannot recommend wines either. Meanwhile the other staff are lovely, nice and know their wines! If I ask for a merlot that is on the bold side like a cab, I get several options and they all are great! SO overall, this is a love/hate shop. Love it but one person spoils the fun and unfortunately, she seems to work a lot. Oh well, we'll keep occasionally popping in to see if she's working or not, and buying from elsewhere depending. Best of luck to not get her 'help'!

I have been going to Simply Wine for as long as they have been open. I have so enjoyed this delightful wine shop. The owner and staff are amazing. They are friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help. I will be moving soon. I will miss this wonderful gem in downtown Northville.

I really love shopping through their rotating selections. They carry some classic wines in addition to some really interesting, obscure varieties and regions. I really appreciate their Michigan Wine selection as well as the sparkling and Champagne selection. Really good prices and variety.

My wife and I have been Simply Wine customers for years. We were reflecting on a recent evening in Northville and sharing how much we have enjoyed Simply Wine over the years. Maria, the owner, is such a warm and easy conversationalist - that also has incredible taste in wine. Maria’s team is equally warm and inviting - easy to smile and help pick out some tasty wine. I particularly enjoy the broad range of their selection in both varietals and price. Simply Wine is located right in the heart of the social district downtown- making it a convenient spot for a quick glass, to reload the wine cooler, or to grab a “to-go” glass to walk and soak in beautiful downtown Northville. Thanks Maria and team for continuing to be one of our favorite regular stops in town!
