After viewing the Halloween skeletons outdoors, we ambled in for our dinner. The hostess noted that their pheasant was the most popular item last evening, so all four of us ordered it, after our salmon pate and mussel apps. Our attentive waiter brought us two loaves of warm bread as we sopped up the last drops of the mussel broth (so good!) between bites of the delicious pate. Table 5 is a consistent, comfortable, warm and elegant community experience. It’s a regional destination for creative cuisine, but it’s our own downtown place. I leave every visit feeling happy, well cared-for, and proud of this successful small business in my neighborhood.
