I had an exceptional experience here. Very kind and lovely staff/owners. Smells amazing. It was interesting to see parts of the process of hand made products vs the industrial manufactured food. I definitely recommend any and all to visit this establishment to enjoy all that is there

forest bakery never ceases to amaze me with their hard work, creativity, and dedication to community. Also, they make the best ice cream in the world.

This bakery is absolutely fantastic! Everything you buy is always fresh, delicious, and made with care. Their savory and sweet pastries are both top notch. You really can’t go wrong with anything you buy there. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and clearly take pride in what they do. It’s the kind of place that instantly brightens your day every time you visit. Highly recommend!

Easily one of the best bakeries in metro detroit. The staff is helpful, friendly and efficient. All the pastries taste freshly made (they are) and you can taste each ingredient. Its pricey, but of high quality.

DON'T BOTHER GOING HERE! This is like a fake, weird bakery. They hardly ever have any food for sale. They have things that are 'not for retail' in the store so you can't buy them. They have racks and racks of food they will not sell you. A fridge stuffed with food they will not sell you. They are rude about it. Plus they are horribly overpriced. The one time I did get something, it was pound cake. IT TASTED LIKE IT WAS MADE WITH CHEAP INGREDIENTS LIKE OIL, NOT BUTTER. Go to Crispelli's Bakery in Royal Oak. MUCH better selection & taste.

We got one of everything in the case. Still haven't had a better croissant in Michigan than the ones being baked by the crew at Forest. Amazing snack cakes too. There's often a line but it moves really fast!

Squash focaccia was amazingly light with just the right bite. Pumpkin bread moist with a delightful not overpowering amount of fall spices. Everything delicious!
We are spoiled by our local bakeries in Massachusetts and thought no one could come close. We were very wrong - wish we lived closer!!
Thank you for blowing us away! ❤️❤️

Best bakery around! Everything is made from the most amazing ingredients and the ladies there are so nice!!! Get there before they open and stand in line, talking to the other customers while waiting was pretty cool too.

WOW. A wonderful tiny patisserie right in my neighborhood! Their selection is limited but excellent. Only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Open 9 to 1 ot until they are sold out. They sell out almost daily so don't be late. They have regular items and daily specialties. Well worth the cost as you can tell by the taste the bakery uses the highest quality ingredients. Carryout only, however, the bakery has a small number of seats outside on the sidewalk to enjoy your purchase.

When I go to Forest, I make sure to get there 30 minutes early just to line up…I’m that obsessed. I love grabbing all my favorites and heading home for a little feast. I’m lactose intolerant, but for Forest, I indulge at least once a month. Everything is just that good. As a croissant lover, I can confidently say these are the best I’ve ever had…they melt in your mouth. I haven’t had a single bad thing here!

A true gem in Oak Park! Forest Bakery, founded by the talented trio of Jo Burke, Kyle Suczynski, and Humna Tak, offers some of the finest pastries around. Their 27-layer croissants are a testament to their dedication, and the vegan options, like the citrus almond poppy cake, are just as delightful. The bakery operates Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or until they sell out, which often happens quickly. The cozy atmosphere, housed in a converted car wash, adds to the charm. Arrive early to experience the full array of their handcrafted delights!
