Mookey's Beans & Greens

I went to this restaurant on 08/04/25. The candy yams and the mac and cheese was okay. The meatloaf was not good at all. They keep their entrance door wide open and bugs was flying around in the restaurant. I didn't see any bugs on the food. I won't be going back here. The employees were nice.

I first experienced Mookies at an event they watered that I attended, thermodynamics was great. I was able to get to restaurant and taste more of what they offer, and they are consistent, the food was hot, fresh, and very good! Smothered pork chops.....YUM. I recommend this if you want a home cooked taste without the work, try Mookies.

Food is nasty now! Store is burning up definitely about a hundred degrees in there I won’t be back. They food use to be sooo good but not anymore cornbread was even nasty how do you mess up cornbread? Yams was way to sweet covered in sugar Macaroni was Desert dry and the greens taste unseasoned with to many stems. 0/10

I think it's rather absurd to spend $100 on a meal that costs $40 when the cashier went home early the employees made it seem like it was an inconvenience to take an order online to accommodate somebody that's trying to spend money in their establishment these people are disrespectful and unprofessional the service industry has gone to hell they need to fire the employees and get someone who actually cares about the business because obviously they weren't the owners if you really want some good soul food go downtown for good service

My first time trying this restaurant. No AC, it was hotter than hell in there.
I got the rib tips greens and candied yams. The ribs tips was tough and old, and the bbq sauce wayy too sweet , so yams were also too sweet the greens had too many stems and the cornbread was dry and needed a little sugar. All I did was taste everything. I tossed it all afterwards. I'll never go back. I threw up when I got home. Mookie or whoever the cook is, need to learn how to cook without all that sugar. Yuk

uhh so food was pretty good but that corn bread was stiff as me when when i see blucher but like i digress i had the 5 peice chicken wings with mac and cheese and the chicken was OUTSTANDING but the mac and cheese was plain but my MAIN PROBLEM IS i am now having extreme diarrhea and my stomach is killing me and so is my ass tbh this might be a tmi but the word should be out there. but again, i liked most of the stuff

Food was bland.. smoked turkey had no flavor...rib tips were mixed some dry some okay... very disappointed 😞 ...I spent 55 dollars and we didn't even finish the food.

Waited 10-15 minutes just for the lady working to ignore me and start trying to help the person behind me. Unbelievable

I would like to say for my first time ordering food was bland and had no soul flavor. But it was good and fair portions even when the price is expensive. Will i try again 👈 No because food should have a distinguish flavor from other soul food restaurants . I thank you for trying. ❤️

I drive from Ortonville to get Mookeys food! If I weren't so damn busy, I'd come more often....it is absolutely amazing! The ox tails are my fav!
