I found this gem one day looking for lunch was over fast food and wanted some real home cooked food. Can’t deny I went back for day two today bringing my son along . The best peach cobbler the best smothered chops the best northern beans greens were off the chain . Everything is A1 will probably eat there everyday.

The lemon cake is great! But you got to get there early, the later in the day, the more the cake might be dry. The Catfish with the Mac and sweet potatoes are a good combo.

This is my first time tasting their food, and I can say it was worth it. The barbecue chicken was so tender it fell out the bone and tasted so good . The green mac n cheese n greens was so good to . My food was not cold .My husband loved it tooWe will be ordering from.them again. Great food n it arrived on time.

Mookies I’m so disappointed they food has change it do not taste like it use to .. I use to come on Sunday Mookies was my come to spot at least 3 or 4 times a month . The candied yams do not taste like they use to or the mac & cheese the cheese is generic cheese it taste awful yall had the best mac & cheese is was creamy & cheesy we all love it .. Why would u change the cheese to generic makes no sense u can definitely tell the dressing has a different taste it’s a no for me …And the prices is ridiculous .. I had to find me another soul food spot and I did it’s a New year!!!

As a take out restaurant, if you enjoy southern style cooking, I believe you would like their food, and the homemade dinner rolls are second to none****A must to try!!!????????Parking: Easy to get in and out of parking.

I'm a working man. I work hard and I want a good meal when I'm finished, especially on Sunday. But this Sunday I am frustrated, and angry. My wife's out of town and I had to work today, so I thought I would order oxtails from Mookey's. What a mistake! I picked up the order and rushed home. When opened my meal I beheld the most pitiful 4 bones I've ever seen. They had to have given me the last of the pot, because there was nothing but grissle. As my sides I ordered green beans and potatoes and yams They gave me black-eyed peas and green beans. I ordered online so I guess they said, "He's not here, so just give him whatever". I was so hungry and set on oxtails til tried to force myself to eat the meal. But the food tasted as lousy as it looked. On top of everything else I gave a generous tip when I ordered. It takes a lot for me to complain especially to WRITE a complaint. But I am angry. I have bought food from Mookey's many times. But today they served me swill. And I paid $48 for it.

Food just isn’t good here. I’ve tried many things so can’t just say it was just one nasty thing. The most bland chicken I’ve had in my life. Greens taste like nothing. They hv only been good once. Rice and gravy nasty … Mac is nasty … I don’t see how people call this real soul food lol.. or how they are still open… years later still isn’t good. Not wasting anymore money with this establishment.
