I had one of the worst dining experiences at the Big Boy in Auburn Hills. From the moment we walked in, it was uncomfortable—the hostess didn’t even greet us and instead was openly arguing with a waitress about who was going to seat us. We were then placed at a table right by the kitchen, where the cooks were loudly fighting with each other, and one even threatened to quit.
I decided to try the breakfast buffet, but it was extremely disappointing. The food looked like it had been sitting there far too long without being rotated. The pancakes were dry and crumbly, and nothing tasted fresh. Meanwhile, our waitress hardly checked on us at all. She mostly stood by the kitchen window, shaking her head while the cooks continued yelling.
On top of that, the restaurant was filthy. The soda machine was leaking all over the floor, which was both unsafe and unsanitary.
It’s really sad because Big Boy is such a classic American restaurant, but this location did not live up to its name at all. Between the poor service, unappetizing food, and overall unclean environment, we will not be returning.

Hadn’t been at a Big Boy in years so tried it today, very dissatisfied! Very shocked when lifted the bun and the Big boy sandwich was one burger cut in half for the whole sandwich. So shocked, no wonder closing down restaurants if that is the quality. Never was asked for refills for drinks or if needed anything else. Very disappointed experience!!!!

As soon as u walk in the windows were dirty , the waitresses were arguing, it took forever to get our food and it was Luke warm.
I'm HOMESICK for my favorite breakfast place! Especially the weekend breakfast buffet! I mean heck fire! A layer of hash browns covered in corned beef hash, then topped with sausage gravy? 😋

Probably one of the best big boys I’ve ever visited. I’ve been Frequenting their establishment for carry out lately because I’m a delivery driver. Excellent food! The manager is fantastic! Staff is awesome! The other day I was late to come and pick up my order, offered to pay over the phone, they weren’t able to do credit cards over the phone, somanager said he had it covered. Left it outside for me.! Great people great service!💪🏼❤️🍔

I almost never write reviews but went to this Big Boys yesterday for the second time and I love this place so far. The food was so really good. I got a Pot Roast and my husband had the Big Boys Sandwich. They were both really delicious. The manager there, I think his name is Timon (if that’s spelled right) helped suggest the meal and asked us about our food. He was a pretty cool and funny guys and helped make our experience better. The service was good, better than I expected at a Big Boys, the food was really good, and the price was right. We will definitely be coming back soon. My experience here yesterday let me know why they are still around, there aren’t a lot of places like Big Boys anymore and that’s a shame.
