Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Owosso

NOT OPEN - Came here on a Sunday at 8pm and they were closed. Says they are open until 9pm but it’s not true they close at 8 or sooner or maybe permanently.

Took my daughter for a smoothie date and when we walked in I saw 4 people working and not one of them greeted us. None of them were friendly. Our food was fine, but while we were sitting and eating one of the girls was dusting above all the tables and where food was being prepared. Nothing was being wiped down afterwards and I felt bad for whoever was getting that food because she dusted right above it. Nothing hand washing. The one male that was working there was time for him to clock out and when he left the girls working there were making fun of him as soon as he left. It was very sad to see and hear. They couldn’t have cared less that we were there. We won’t be back or support a company that hires people like this.

Ayana B. was at the counter taking our order and was told multiple times that i wanted a caesar SALAD with extra tomatoes and extra caesar dressing ON THE SIDE. Clearly she doesn’t understand the POS system and i ended up with a gross and soggy caesar wrap…no extra sauce on the side either. On top of messing up my food order, my smoothie wasn’t properly blended and had big chunks of ice in it so i couldn’t properly drink through my straw. Plus, no receipt to prove what i ordered wasn’t what was made?

My daughter asked me to pick up an Acai Berry Boost smoothie for her today, to help soothe an upset stomach. It was my first day using Google Pay, and the payment wasn't going through. After the 3rd try, Alyssa smiled and said it was fine. She insisted I take the smoothie, as it was already made, and said she hopes my daughter feels better soon. What a kind thing to do! Thank you for empowering your employees to make such great decisions, and for hiring people as kind as Alyssa. Very recommended!

This location is the only one for miles that passed its cleanliness inspection.
The staff really tries to do the best they can for customers. I think they should all get a $2.00 raise.

Placed an online order which was confirmed. Stated ready at 0830. I arrived shortly after and the store was closed. I called the store number, the employee stated she showed up late and just got there. I asked for a refund. She took my name and info then still charged me for my order! I have messaged multiple times and not a single response. Would give ZERO stars if I could.

The workers are very snappy at times and the food can be under cook at times one time my cheese on my quesadilla was not melted, workers have very bad attitude towards the customers when they order food or getting close to closing.

Horrible management and rude staff

Nate was Awesome, got my favorite drink and a compliment lol. I absolutely love the positivity that radiates from h and his coworkers.The Owosso tropical smoothie has always been a great visit in my day to day and honestly probably one of the best franchises I've been too.

Food is good and smoothies are always consistent and good. For some reason the older guy working today was very rude upon delivering my smoothie to me. He threw my smoothie on the counter and said here you go and walked off without acknowledging whose smoothie it was or what it was. It wasn’t busy and he wasn’t the person who took my order so no way he could’ve known it was my order so he was just normally that rude. There were other customers there who just looked at me and then the guy feeling weird because he was so blatantly rude for no reason. The girls there have always been nice and I never had any issues before and even the girl who took my order looked apologetically at me for the guys rude behavior. If I ever see him again I’ll just walk out before putting myself in that weird situation again.

The staff are always very friendly and the food and everything is very good. My only issue is that the smoothies are just way too big for me, I wish there were different sizes (or if there is, it was more obvious)

The quality of the food is fresh and tastes good. Lots of choices and combinations for smoothies. My smoothie lasted hours, very filling. It is quite pricey though, so make sure you like smoothies.
