Carry out ordered sesame chicken (expecting a sweet, sticky goodness like you'd get anywhere else) BUT this was in a thick, bland gravy that wasn't good at all.
We called about it and she said their sesame chicken is salty not sweet and would not do anything about it.
Ate the egg rolls and threw the rest out. Never in my 30+ years have I thrown away Chinese food.

Good places absolutely fabulous I have eaten there for a gazillion years their food is always hot and always fresh
Parking: Very limited on parking due to the fact that they share their parking lot with a lot of other venues

First time trying this place. Since when did a simple combo plate during lunch special for Chinese takeout get so expensive? Ordered there general tsao chicken and crab Rangoon and was not pleased. The chicken tasted nothing like general tsao and the rice didn't taste great. Crab rangoons were not very good as well. Only thing good was the egg roll. Also the portion sizes were small. Very below average Chinese takeout, especially for the price. Definitely won't be back.
First time going and I won't be going back! Food was very small portions for the price and very underwhelming! There was hardly any steak in the Mongolian beef a or chicken in the chicken chow mein! I didn't want to pay for a refill and wasn't offered water instead! And was served cold soup! Egg rolls were definitely cooked in old oil yuck!!

We had to wait over 50 min for take out when there were zero people in this restaurant. Additionally why were waiting only 1 person came to pick up a their take out. If you want to wait an hour for take out this is the place for you. In addition, they told us our order would take longer so we changed our dish..it took the same amount of time it was originally estimated. Insane. Will never eat here again.

Ordered a lot of food for a party and it turned out great. Had the Sweet and sour chicken, the Thai red curry shrimp, vegetable chow mein, some egg rolls and the subgum (avoid subgum if you're trying it for the first time). Just don't show up early or you'll get a bit of an attitude. The inside needs some major updates.

Ever since the new owners took over everything is better. Especially the time to get your carry out order. Food tastes much better.

Excellent food & service
We have been getting carryout from GD atleast twice a month for several years and occasionally dine in.
Everything has always been prepared to perfection and the generous portions leaves us lunch for the next day .

Restaurantji Recommends
I have been here quite a few times since moving to Oxford a little over a year ago. This is probably the best joint in Oxford to get Chinese food! MUCH better than the one up by meijer. I actually drive past that one to get to Golden Dragon lol...
I have enjoyed just about everything I have tried from golden dragon, prices are reasonable, portions are good, speed and service are what you'd expect.
I'd recommend going here!

Carryout order and the food was promptly ready. However, I have never had Chinese food that was this bad. The sesame chicken could only be described as soaking in some sort of gravy and was not in the realm of sesame at all. The rice was fairly bland, and I guess in that way, complimented the chicken. At least I still had the fortune cookie to look forward to at the end. To my surprise, my cookie didn't have any fortune inside, which honestly seemed appropriate for the entire experience. I will say that the cookie was delicious though. You never know until you try it, and now I know that I never should have tried it.

It is a shame what covid has done to these small mom and pop restaurants. We ordered "to go" since we did not want to have to deal with three grand babies while eating. The place did not have a single patron during our order pick up. The restaurant is located in the middle of Oxford's business district. We were close enough that we were able to walk to get our food. The food I had (pork fried rice) was plentiful and good.
