August 2025; I've eaten here many times thru the years and always good. This time I had hot and sour soup, way above average as always, a couple of spring rolls (very good) and the Chinese barbecue ribs appetizer as an entrée. Wow, I think they were the best Chinese ribs I've ever had! And a very good value at $13 for four large ribs. Staff is friendly too.

I've always had great take out from this place, it's been one of my favorites for years. A quaint place with friendly staff and usually pretty quick service.

They make some awesome food. Their sauces are even homemade, which they do a great job at.

I don’t think there’s been a Chan working here at all. Everyone’s white. Food taste boiled in a bag. I’ll take myself to rich china. Or get some Walmart Chinese

I don't think an Asian even works there. Crab Rangoon was 99% cream cheese .003% crab.
Sweet and sour chicken I spit out of my mouth. the chicken had an awful after taste fried rice ?????? It was rice with small chunks of chicken, not a single pea, carrots or egg. the eggroll tasted like boiled cabbage and little pcs of chicken fried in a wonton. Then there was egg flop soup. The Gen Tsoas chicken tasted like oyster sauce gravy with a couple tablespoons of sweet and sour and a dash of pepper flakes.
I asked if there was even crab in the rangoon. I wonder if anyone asian works there. Don't waste your taste buds or time on this place. Get La Choy from the sopermarket

Chan's is a nice small Chinese restaurant in downtown Paw Paw. They could use an update to the inside as they have not done a thing to it since forever. Still, the food is good & what I would expect from any everyday Chinese restaurant. I would enjoy eating here must more than Chinn Chinn in Mattawan, Chinn Chinn is too pretentious.

Vegetarian options: They have tofu, you just need to inquire.

Parking: There is street parking out front & parking around back, but you will have to walk back arount to the front to enter. The parking was easy the day I was there last, but if there is a popular movie at the theater nearby you might find it hard to find a spot.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible at all, their are a few steps up to the entrance & the door is too narrow, This building was built long before the ADA was a thing.
