I don't think an Asian even works there. Crab Rangoon was 99% cream cheese .003% crab.
Sweet and sour chicken I spit out of my mouth. the chicken had an awful after taste fried rice ?????? It was rice with small chunks of chicken, not a single pea, carrots or egg. the eggroll tasted like boiled cabbage and little pcs of chicken fried in a wonton. Then there was egg flop soup. The Gen Tsoas chicken tasted like oyster sauce gravy with a couple tablespoons of sweet and sour and a dash of pepper flakes.
I asked if there was even crab in the rangoon. I wonder if anyone asian works there. Don't waste your taste buds or time on this place. Get La Choy from the sopermarket
Service was great

Chan's is a nice small Chinese restaurant in downtown Paw Paw. They could use an update to the inside as they have not done a thing to it since forever. Still, the food is good & what I would expect from any everyday Chinese restaurant. I would enjoy eating here must more than Chinn Chinn in Mattawan, Chinn Chinn is too pretentious.
Vegetarian options: They have tofu, you just need to inquire.
Parking: There is street parking out front & parking around back, but you will have to walk back arount to the front to enter. The parking was easy the day I was there last, but if there is a popular movie at the theater nearby you might find it hard to find a spot.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible at all, their are a few steps up to the entrance & the door is too narrow, This building was built long before the ADA was a thing.

When we crave Chinese, we crave Chans!!! We compare every other Chinese place to Chans, and they never quite make it. I always say, it's good, but it's not Chans!!! Getting it again in a few minutes. We love their BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken, Pork Egg Foo Young, Fried Wontons, and Egg Rolls. This is for two people!!! Love the food, love the place, love the leftovers. .

Really good food at a place right in the downtown district. My take out was ready within 10 minutes of placing the order and they were gung ho about the order even though I walked in 10 mind before close.
Got the mushroom egg foo young, Veg fried rice and some delicious wontons.. asked for extra garlic and spice on the fried rice & it was deliciously made!!
Amazing family owned business that’s here for 36 years! The food TOTALLY shows why this place is a must visit here!

Quaint, quiet, and FRIENDLY. We knew within 2 minutes we would be back. Initially, I commented how clean it is. The food IS cooked to order. Fresh ingredients. Everything was OUTSTANDING.

Rrally good food! Takes a while but it was worth it. Inviting dining area, lots of good flavors. Oh and my general tsos had more than 4 pieces of chicken, which clearly conflicts with some negative reviews.Follow me for more reviews!

The phone etiquette was horrible when placing the order and then when we got the food it was cold and looked absolutely terrible. I got the chicken chow mein, fried rice, and fried shrimp. The shrimp was so soggy the breading came off and the picture just shows how bad the rest looked. Will not be ordering here again.

Disappointing- got the dinner for two deal, changed it to sweet and sour chicken and ALL of the food is near inedible and gross! The chicken, which has been soaking in the sauce(? not how sweet and sour chicken is done), was absolutely soggy! The rice was dry and flavorless, the egg rolls were the only redeeming quality and even then, they were not good! No idea when the food from Chan's got to be so bad, but I would advise not spending your money here for food, as you would only be wasting it. Frozen Chinese food tastes better than this. The lady at the counter taking orders was nice, small restaurant on the inside. Just absolutely disgusting food.

My Son took me there for my Birthday and it was like going to a little Chinese restaurant in Boston Chinatown. The owner cooks and makes all her own sauces. The waiter was exceptional. Really nice experience all the way around. In fact, my Son is picking up food for us at 4pm! Can't wait!

This place was GREAT ALL of my life. Until yesterday. We are a family of four and it cost us $67 3 meals 4 pops. Didn't even get to have any sides. My pepper steak was absolutely horrible barley atr it. Waitress was great. Way to over priced meals started at $15 smh we could have went to ten ten. Never again they have lost my money for sure.
