This is the first time I attended a concert here. I feel like there were a lot of people here to see Brian Vander Ark so it was a bit loud to hear the music over people chatting. For future shows of this size some additional speakers might help. The music was great, the crowd was having a good time and we enjoyed listening to live music so close to home. Would attend again!

I have been to this restaurant many times. I enjoy the vibe of the Backyard Bar where they do live music. After my experience with the bartender last night though, it may be my last time. It wasn’t overly busy being Homecoming weekend and there being a concert on the Village Green. I had already ordered a drink, and was back for my second. There was a group of maybe 6 young men ordering so I stood behind to wait my turn. I know from going previously that the line typically goes to the left of the bar. But it is not noted anywhere that this is where they want you to form the line. Since the group of young men were standing all together in a circle group at the bar, I just stood behind them since no one else was in line and my seat was to the right. As the left one man kindly ushered me toward the register. I stood there a moment and a man came up from the left (remember there wasn't a line but his table was to the left). She ignored me and took his order. I stood there in disbelief as it was SO rude! The guy ordering picked up on my annoyance (even though I was silent) and asked if he did that wrong (by coming from the left). And in a horribly snotty tone she gestured to me and said ”No she did.” I stood there incredulous that this young girl spoke to a customer like that. He left and she asked for my order, which I gave her. She shoved the card reader at me and after paying she slammed her register drawer and stared at me angrily (likely because she saw I didn‘t tip her after her behavior). Again, I know that usually the line forms to the left but it seemed silly to stand there when the group moved all together and I was coming from the right…and NO ONE else was there. To treat me so rudely was unacceptable behavior from an employee. Today her photo is on the business Facebook page and I think everyone needs to know how the bartender treats paying customers. I will definitely hesitate to go back even though I previously frequented this business.

Lobster roll was great! Tasty perch! A little weird seating behind the restaurant on picnic table but was beautiful weather for outdoor dinning. I preferred the outdoor patio right off the restaurant. Fast service!

No servers, so you have to stand in line to get a drink. Food truck is not great.
The establishment is an eye sore in the quaint little village of Pentwater.

Outdoor picnic area with great shaded tables. Tropical drinks and on tap beers. Quick service and great servers. Lobster roll was good and the walleye was fantastic! Dog friendly too!!
Would not recommend food here go to brown bear or antler. The place doesn’t serve burgers outside of the always closed food truck. No burgers = no good
Awesome outdoor space with a friendly and fun atmosphere!

This place had us order and pay at the bar, the gratuity is expected at this time, with the cashier standing there watching, it's hard not to tip. We had to seat ourselves, ok no problem. The outside only seating tables were dusty and dirty. The overgrown grass was tickling my ankles, OK dealt with it. Here comes the food...my hearty beef stew was an open can of Campbell's soup, seriously bad. My husband's perch and fries were soggy and tasted like dirty oil. The atmosphere was grunge meets hobo. We will never get our time and money back. Please think twice about wasting YOUR time and money here. Good luck.

Food is disgusting. Not edible. It is very dirty and gross but the atmosphere is fun. If you are drinking beer out of a bottle great place to hang. Everything else is dirty and gross

It is unfortunate that the Village Cafe and Pub does not respect our community by violating the noise ordinance if not encouraging extended play past 12:20 AM. Families and morning events are disrupted and disrespected. We enjoy live music and performances in this community but the Village Cafe does not respect its neighbors.

This place was great! They had live music. The food was fantastic. It was so busy. People had brought their dogs, it was like you were in your own bag yard, it was great. The only thing that took a while was they had one register, so you got your drink quick, but you had to wait to pay. It's not a big deal, just a line of people at the bar the entire time. Food came out quick. Definitely recommend checking out if in the area.
