We gave Johnny V's a try after receiving a coupon (which we forgot to use) in the mail. People tend to eat at places near them but I urge you to do what we did, and take a drive to Perry. It is clear they are smoking their meat, it was authentic. We tried wings (large), pulled pork and burnt ends. Even at the end of the day the meat was tender and juicy. Kevin the owner was personable when he came out to greet us at the table. We will definitely be going back. Oh, and unlike that famous place downtown where you have to find a spot on the street to park, there is plenty of parking in their lot.

The brisket was ok but expensive. I got a cup of water from their pop machine and it was full of crap. Probably from them not cleaning the lines on the machine. My child had already drank a bunch of it by the time I noticed. When I brought it to the staffs attention they offered to sell me a can of pop instead and did not care about their dirty and unsafe fountain pop machine.

Wasn't by the staff whom was doing take out explaining how things were working, owner greater us when we entered. Had the brisket French dip sandwich, was excellent.
Saturday night went there for dinner. It was really busy staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered the brisket rubber, was excellent. Had the smoked jumbo wings those also were very good always enjoy the homemade chips.
