Our experience at Five was far below expectations. We came to celebrate a dear friend's birthday and were met with a noticeably unenthusiastic server. While we understand being busy, his demeanor felt more annoyed than attentive, and that tone carried from start to finish. We waited an unusually long time for cocktails, and from there everything lagged throughout the evening. Despite this, our group remained patient, understanding, and kind the entire dinner. We even had another reservation at the Wine Grotto afterward, and thankfully they were gracious enough to push our reservation back when dinner was taking so long. When the bill arrived, there was no acknowledgment of my friend's birthday—despite the host asking for the correct spelling of her name upon arrival. Instead, the server brought out a soup container with a “to-go” dessert to send us on our way. It was completely appalling and honestly embarrassing. Our reaction likely said it all. I don't understand how a restaurant that considers itself fine dining could fall so short on service and basic hospitality. I was genuinely embarrassed to have brought a friend out for what was meant to be a special celebratory meal.

Of course dinner was delicious, with even a few Wagyu options; however, what may not be as frequently discussed, BREAKFAST was absolutely delicious. Simple comforts such as a cappuccino or oatmeal are still prepared and served with care, and are wonderful risers for your taste buds!

Dinner : Very good, we had the crab cake appetizer, sooo good! ... The lamb chops which were ok. The steak and the south African lobster tail was delicious. The five cheese Mac n cheese was a hit, and the brussel sprouts were great! The dinner rolls with butter, delightful! The red cab wine, smooth and yummy and they made us a lemon margarita that was so tasty! Oh and the chocolate cake was everything!! Try it! Overall the food was very good, the ambiance was elegant, perfect for a romantic date or special occasion. The service was wonderful, our waiter John was very knowledgeable, friendly & attentive! Brunch: We did the next morning, very good! We had the chicken and waffles, so delicious! And also pancakes with a general breakfast which included eggs, maple bacon which melted in my mouth and sourdough toast. The grits were super good!

We had a birthday party for my Grandpa and had John as our server, he was particularly amazing, detail oriented and organized. Another shout out to Holly, who I believe was one of the managers, she was very sweet, also served us and helped out. She was warm and attentive, timely with her service. Overall, I am more than pleased with our evening, and would 1000% recommend this restaurant to anyone.
First time there. I wasn't impressed at all!!! Food was just ok. Capital Grille, Hyde Park, Ruth's Chris, Morton's, Flemings and many other steakhouses that I have been to much better. Service was average. Our server was again just okay. Indicated she normally works breakfast hours and wasn't knowledgeable of the dinner menu or drinks. Calamari for appetizer stuck together and under cooked. I can honestly say I won't there again. Also, won't be recommending anyone to go there!!!

Our first visit to Five Steakhouse was disappointing in the quality and preparation of our entrees. We were encouraged to give them a second try and this time everything, food quality, preparation and service was outstanding. Our server, John, was top notch and Executive Director, Eric, and Manager, Holly, were attentive and personable making our experience delightful. We are looking forward to our next visit to Five Steakhouse. PS If you go do walk around the resort to enjoy the beautiful artwork.

Truly outstanding experience from start to finish. Our waiter was friendly, prompt with service, helpful with suggestions and quite attentive throughout our meal. We both enjoyed our cocktails (my Old Fashioned was very nice). We shared the crab cakes and calamari - both very good. We tried the 4 oz Wagu steak and was melt in your mouth delicious. Although a bit pricy, it was an overall excellent dining experience.

Highly recommend FIVE Steakhouse! I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast, lunch, and dinner here, while staying at Saint John’s Resort and it does not disappoint. I LOVE that they use le creuset cookware to serve some of their dishes in!! The staff is incredibly friendly, and every experience has been wonderful. Emma and Theresa, who work breakfast and lunch, always deliver exceptional service with the warmest smiles. It is truly a joy to be greeted by them to start the day. For lunch, you must try their brussels sprouts which are so delicious. Dinner is just as impressive, especially if you’re a steak lover. Hope was our server one evening, and she was outstanding. She was so kind and always checked in to make sure everything was perfect. From the service to the atmosphere to the food, FIVE Steakhouse is a standout destination whether you’re staying at Saint John’s Resort or just stopping by for a great meal.
