Nostalgia... that was what I experienced when I saw this new location of Big Boy in Plymouth. This chain was popular back in the day when I grew up in the area. The business was founded north of where I live now, however most of the footprint is still in Michigan. The visibility of this suite off Ann Arbor Rd and Haggerty Rd was not great. The signage was minimal, and instead of having a Big Boy statue outside the restaurant, it was inside next to the entrance. I was accustomed to Big Boy being a standalone building with an old school diner ambiance. The interior of this spot was like a modern fast food joint. I didn't take photos of the menu, but it had all the standard fare like I remembered. A separate sheet listed the Seafood Fest which had offerings like a Pike-Perch Platter, Fish & Chips, and Popcorn Shrimp Platter. My friend ordered the first platter for his meal. I should have picked one of the burgers that featured the signature double-deck patties. I opted for a more conservative option of spaghetti with meat sauce. It was served with a grilled garlic roll that was split in half and a cup of soup. It was odd that my first choice of soup was already sold out, especially since we showed up at 1:30 pm. I ended up with a cabbage soup that had a tomato base. The spaghetti was nothing special, however the garlic roll was salty. I don't know why extra seasoning was added beyond the garlic. While I appreciated the opportunity to visit this franchise again, the execution of my order left much to be desired. The best part of the experience was seeing the history of Bob's Big Boy (as it's known in CA) displayed on the walls. I gave a three star experience for our lunch at Big Boy.

This new Big Boy is so modern inside and they chose really nice colors for it. They match well together. It was really nice to be able to be in a New Big Boy restaurant. Even though it is not as big as the other Big Boy restaurants. It's really great. The food we got was delicious. The waitress we had was on top of things always bringing refills without us having to ask. The Big Boy hamburger tasted so good! They even have many options for dessert here however, we were too full to order one! The spaghetti sauce they use tastes great and has great flavor. I do have to say we have been here twice now. Even though I forgot to take a picture of it their Cinnamon Caramel French Toast is the Bomb! That is what I got the second time we came here. But you really can't go wrong on their hamburgers here! That special secret thousand island dressing that goes on the Big Boy really makes that burger soooo good! We will be back again and again and again!

Absolutely stellar experience at the new Big Boy location in Plymouth! The service was incredibly friendly, especially our attentive waitress Brooke, who exuded genuine happiness. The food was top-notch, with super fresh ingredients and the best waffle fries I've ever had. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, and my go-to Slim Jim dish never disappoints. I'm already planning my next visit - this spot is a definite winner! Five stars all the way!

Big Boy is back in town. And it's new, clean, and fresh. Service is quick, friendly, and efficient. Big Boy menu in the full. Desserts and specials for the season. I would recommend. Food came out fast, constant stream of clientele coming in for pick up or to eat.

I can't believe it!A Bob's Big Boy just recently opened in my area and I'm so excited. Great memories at !!!!!I'm not a big fan of the new location and the size of the business. The new Bob's Big Boy sits in the middle of a strip mall with other small businesses. There seems to be plenty of parking including handicapped ♿️The second week open and I'm still looking for a parking spot. Finally and now let's go in and look around. OMG!Not a single table is open and the customers are chattering uncontrollably. Mostly I can hear about the food and service of the new business. While I'm waiting, I just love the open concept and high ceiling and all the stencils and artwork that line the walls. So many colors but what stands out the most is the red decor, even in the bathroom. ?My turn to have a seat and I waited about 15 minutes and was seated by the front window.I haven't been to a Big Boy's in about 30 years. I was excited to try the slim Jim as it was my favorite. The wait time for my order was about 20 minutes but not bad considering every table was full. The waitress (Alyssa) was on the move the entire time ensuring every customer was taken care of.The lunch menu was simple (see photo) and very appealing.I ordered the Slim Jim and fries came with it. I ordered a second Slim Jim and upgraded with onion rings and an additional cost. ?Also, the pretzel bites with cheese and honey mustard sauce. The carbonation choice is Pepsi products. Very fresh and nice flavor.I will have to say that the presentation of the Slim Jim is a little different than what I remember. The flavor is there but I remember more meat! The ham is so thin but maybe that's why it's called a Slim Jim, any thoughts? The pretzel bites are a favorite and yummy.?The food came out very fresh and temperature-appropriate.Nice job! ?Great customer service & Kudos to management as well.I appreciated the management/cook for visiting my table and asking about the food quality.Parking: Shared parking with adjoining businesses.Wheelchair accessibility: Has handicapped ♿️ parking.

Food was great. Hot and fresh just like the traditional Big Boy that I remember. The place, however, has more of a "coney island" kind of feel. But food was excellent.

Unappetizing, tasteless, unhealthy, overpriced, straight out of a can food. The food was disappointing for all four of us. Descriptions of food are misleading. The other recommendations on this site must be from friends and family trying to help. Highly recommend going anywhere else. Can't imagine it staying open for very long. If you're employed there, start looking elsewhere now.

In a world where so many of the traditional Big Boy restaurants are being shuttered, it’s great to see Big Boy opening NEW locations. Always a family favorite, this new Big Boy has a tasteful look that blends nostalgia of the Big Boy heritage with an updated, modern look. Most significantly, many of their traditional offerings (the Big Boy hamburger, Slim Jim, onion rings, REAL chocolate malts, Hot Fudge / vanilla dessert, etc.) are on the menu! Service continues to be outstanding as always!Great job, Big Boy management team! I hope this is a trend and we will see more locations like this one open!
