After driving by and noticing the place, I had to give Bode’s a try. It’s been around since the 1950s, and that says a lot to me about a restaurant. The inside was warm and fairly simple, although it was decorated nicely. The staff was friendly despite being somewhat close to closing. I had to try something with their corned beef, and since they were out of the corned beef dinner I settled on the Reuben. It was a good choice. The beef was piled more than an inch high, and it came with thousand island dressing on the side to season however you like. Best of all, it was delicious. I love finding places like this that I haven’t heard of before. It’s definitely worth a try, especially if you like corned beef.

Party of 3 adults. Time was prior to the dinner hour. We ordered an appetizer, and the server only brought 2 plates for the 3 of us. Ok, we made it work (she didn't come back until she brought the food orders). The burger was made incorrectly, so had to be redone. The fish was overcooked, the batter had a burnt taste to it. We had to ask for drink refills on more than one occasion.
It will be quite awhile before we visit again, our visit was definitely not on par with previous visits.

Placed an order on Doordash after driving past this place a handful of times. I was very excited to try this place but it fell short of expectations. The corned beef on the Box Car Sandwich had good flavor but it was chewy. The rye bread was typical diner bread and nothing robust or special. The pastrami on the Pastrami sandwich wasn't what I was expecting. The meat weren't whole pieces and it was basically shredded up, disintegrated meat and had peppercorns from the brine still mixed in. The taste and texture was unpleasant. The poutine had sparse cheese curds on it but the fries were still very crispy and I appreciated how the gravy was put into a separate container. This place looks like a great breakfast spot but the sandwiches missed the mark. Their prices reflect what a traditional deli would charge but it's the same quality as diner food.

Very good breakfast. Reasonably priced. Our waitress (Christine?) was very pleasant and nice to talk to. Looking forward to returning.

Was a regular then they priced me out. They got greedy. Can get the same thing else where for cheaper. Two people 40-50 dollars are you kidding me. Will never ever go back
