Servers can make or break a dining experience. Our waitress definitely made our experience memorable! It was so memorable we won’t return! Only came three times first to take our order, after I sent my fries back for being served cold ( another server delivered our food and the second order of fries) we looked for our server several times, with no luck. The third time to deliver the check.
We had ordered the wedge salad $7. a burger $11. And fries $3. The burger came with a squirt of mustard… we requested ketchup and mayonnaise. The ketchup is spicy, I was unable to eat it, so I had to eat bland fries and a burger of mustard and mayo. The fries were served cold. The salad was ok. Nothing special, very few pieces of blue cheese.
We were left alone for long periods of time unless we called over another server.
To give a grade the server a D
Food a C.. it was just ok
Presentation? There wasn’t any. ? F
When leaving I asked the server is your ketchup always spicy, her reply was yes but we have regular ketchup you just have to request it. Duh! I would have if the server had BOTHERED to check on us.
Left the restaurant complained to the hostess and saw our waitress outside serving other tables…maybe take care of ALL of your tables ( like the ones seated in the BACK of the restaurant in a booth)
Seriously not a great experience at all…

One of my favorite places for raw oysters. They do them so well here in Plymouth. Happy hour specials before 6 too!

Jake our waiter was great. Friendly & knowledgeable. His service is one of the many things that makes the sardine room great

The shrimp and grits are fantastic, the Captains Bloody Mary is a meal in itself! Highly recommend. Shrimp and Grits. Still the best I've had.

Sardine room happy hour is a joke. We sat outside and were handed a happy hour menu & we ordered off the happy hour menu to find out the any outdoor seating does NOT get the happy hour pricing. First off, why are they handing us the happy hour menu to not let us have the happy hour offer… talk about dangling a carrot in your face. No where on the menu does it say happy hour excludes outdoor seating… maybe that should be included to avoid customer disappointment? Also why do you only get happy hour if you sit in a special area inside? Poor poor business model. At least their food was good and service was quick.

The shrimp and grits used to be my favorite. The grits are loose and watery now. The crawfish hush puppies were very good. The outside seating is so cozy but can get bright with the sun beating down. No umbrellas. Our waitress was stellar.

Real inconsistent experiences. One time was 5 star, the last two times have been mediocre. The server was clearly unhappy to be there and the foods was just meh. The second last time I arrived around 3:30pm, I knew I had missed brunch, didn’t know they closed the kitchen between brunch and lunch, only had limited bar service. Would be nice to have that info on their website, and again the service wasn’t great. Have a feeling they need to be treating and or paying their servers better, it’s spilling out into the customer experience. Not really keen on returning.

Wednesday special lobster roll...they have a lot of nerve. It's listed as market price. Fine. Tonight the "market" price of $34 got me the same amount of lobster I get here for Sunday brunch for $17 on a nice avo toast, but now...on a cheap hot dog bun with chips! Come on. I expected better, Sardine Room.

The shrimp and grits may be the best thing on the menu.

Old bald man waiter forgot so much of our things. We had to get our hot sauce and crackers on our own. He had to also be reminded to bring our straws.

We love this place, but today the service was non existent. We were seated outside and then no one came back for 10-15 min. They ended up seating people next to us and then took their order. We were left waiting:( Ended up heading to another restaurant.
The halibut was a special. It tasted amazing with a perfect sear! My husband is a steak guy and decided to try the halibut and is still talking about it three days later. My seafood mixed grill was so enjoyable. The shrimp and crab cake were delicious, but the huge scallops were the star of the dish. The cocktails were made well. Richard was our server and exceeded all expectations. There was an issue with my mixed grill and it was addressed and corrected immediately. It’s not easy to find service like we had here anymore. Cannot wait to return. Maybe the halibut could be on the menu permanently? lol
