What a diamond in the rough! This place was such a neat little resteraunt and bar. We were greeted by everyone when we walked in, maybe even the customers, and the setting was very romantic for our little mini date. The food was amazing though, It started with the ally cat salad which had the best dressing I've ever had, then she got salmon, I got the chicken tortellini, we shared and both dishes were amazing. I highly recommend going to this place.

Phenomenal place, you definitely need to visit this place, food, drinks, and atmosphere it's just perfect. Saturday nights, they have live music JAZZ, Chris, the bar tender will hook you up. With some really nice drinks ????

I was at the Alley Cat Cafe recently while checking out the other breweries in the area and was not terribly impressed by the service. We were served our drinks and that was the last time we saw the waiter until we opted to leave about 30 minutes later. With that in mind, I cant review the food. The atmosphere is very nice and the menu had some excellent sounding dishes. While there was a show later that evening we were in several hours before the rush and they just seemed very underprepared and understaffed even at that point.Also, we were expecting some kind of selection of coffee type drinks with the name being Alley Cat Cafe, but alas they only serve regular ol' coffee.
Parking: Be really careful with the parking. We recieved a ticket despite still having 2.5 hours on the meter.
Went an hour+ before a show at the Strand. Just me, sat at the bar. 5 mins before any acknowledgement, 15 mins for a drink and 45+ mins for tacos that I never got b/c I wanted to make the show. I understand a surplus because of a concert but 45 mins for 2 tacos is way too long.

Such a cool place. The bar tender was the best, super friendly and fun. The crab cakes were the best I’ve had in Michigan! The cocktails were strong but yummy! The bar tender gave us a tour of the place and was telling us how the basement is haunted. This place is connected to a coffee shop that’s open during the day which is also good and worth trying. You can have a small event here too.
