At least my shoes don’t stick to the floor anymore
Yikes. Talk about a crap show. DJs who have zero skill, switching their tracks in less than 20 seconds and can't even be bothered to let a track breathe so people can dance to it. Tek Mazter was so bad we ended up going home early. I don't think I've ever left a club before 2 AM and when the lights come on, I always want more. Guy was trainwrecking every minute and any time someone would be dancing he'd switch to a beat free track. Paid zero attention to the audience. The club claims tickets are free before 11 and then charges $21 for a ticket AND $25 to park. I'm legit blown away but just how bad everything was. Tek-Mazter, let your tracks breathe, man! People wanted to dance and you kept stopping them and sending people to the door. Next time I go to this place, I'm skipping any free night. Those DJs clearly are still learning and/or don't have their style figured out or any clue on how to spin music people can and want to actually dance to. Thanks for the free tickets, Elektricity. I would've been sooooooo peeved if I had to actually pay for that crap show.
Great time , every weekend! 😈🫶
This place… attracts a crowd. A very unique and interesting crowd. I’m not into electronic music and I won’t pretend to be, but im into the party which is what I went for. I went here between the ages of 18-20 and then when I became a 21-year old I kinda stopped going to the clubbing scene as a whole because it’s not really for me and I found better places, and better things to do with my time. But I’ll say, the bathrooms are amongst some of the most unique in bar culture I’ve experienced. There is a man and a woman assigned as a attendant in their respective gendered bathrooms, and they provide complimentary care; things like tampons, soap, friendly vibes. They’ll pep you up, this is actually something I wish more bars and clubs alike would do. However, being in the heart of Pontiac, an already sketchy area. There are people who have predacious intentions and that is something to be on the lookout for. I say this is one of those places where unless you are a man, you probably should go with other women (other crowds). I think when you’re isolated you get picked apart by the creeps a lot easier and I am speaking from personal experience.
Great place to mosh and have a great time. Loved it went with a bunch of friends. Great place to go even if your not into the techno scene
This club has grown into one of my favorite places to be. I cannot say enough about it. Trust me, if you are a fan of electronic music you do not want to miss this place and it's only getting better. I love the setup they have with a patio set up for music in the summer, the whole work crew here are obviously happy about working here and I can't blame them. Come be happy with us. You will not regret it. Five stars is not enough.
Favorite venue in Detroit. Wonder why? Check them out this weekend. You won’t regret it :)
Security is rude, and it’s always quite dirty in here. unfortunate this is such a big place for edm shows.
The Sound and lights are great
Great sound system! Nice visuals!
Parking lot across has a smaller area on the right! $25 vs $10 your choice!
Restaurantji Recommends
Elektricity is both a great venue and a bad one. Space is great. Lasers and screens are great. Sound is great. But we didn't pay to only see the shadows of headliners. Light them up so we can actually see them. And give them a mic for Pete's sake! Fix those two things and it'll be perfect. Otherwise it feels like a jip.
When Oakland university is open this has a vibe or else You feel alone
Saw Glitter & Grime throw downnnnn. Any show related to Big Fam brings the best vibes. BIG SCREEN for visuals. Easy to navigate around. Outside patio is a bop. But the bathrooms are a little ehhh & drinks are pretty expensive
No real complaints overall
Great show and great time. Artifacts was awesome!
If you show up to buy your ticket in person they will rip you off. If a show is $20 online with an $8 fee why would you charge me $32 at the door? Your formula doesn’t make sense. Charge the ticket price at the door and bypass the online fee structure? No charge more than the ticket with fees at the door? Yes. Its a practice that I hate
