Great fish n chips , the chips are the cottage fries they used to sell in the grocery store , fair price for the portions imo. They have a nice variety of fish.

I had the catfish dinner and it was absolutely delicious, they have waffle fries cooked perfectly and u can even talk with the cook as he gets the food ready.

Should be a 5 star review, leaving 4 stars for one reason. Either the manager or the owner asked me if I wanted hot sauce, and of course I do. He charged me for the hot sauce. Seriously? I'll give it a couple of months til I come back, maybe then I can get some hot sauce with my fish without being taxed for it. Cmon now as a business owner dont nickel and dime me over some hot sauce. Thank you

Lives up to its name in every sense of the word! Excellent prices, especially for the quality. They also stock a few relevant produce items like lemons as well as spices and other ingredients. Depending on the market, you might not find a large selection here... but that's a good sign that they prioritize stocking only the freshest seafood! Most importantly, if you are currently jobless or low-income and reliant on EBT, you can count on them to provide you with a high quality hot meal without judgment by paying a separate small cash fee for preparing the food. Owner and staff are friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. If you want something you don't see in the store, I'm sure they'd be willing to look into the market and try to get it for you. This is the best place to get so many different types of seafood! Their selection is wonderful! The owner’s name is Mark and the service he provides is excellent, answering any questions we may have… I would rate the service and quality of product at this place, a perfect A+!

I grew up with the People's Fish Market. I went here in the month of March because I'm on a Mediterranean diet and I thought it would be great to open myself up to new fish. I spent about $90 on several different healthy fish like Trout, Red Snapper, Halibut, Mackerel, and Cod. You don't get as much as you used to years ago but it's still a better place for very healthy looking and smelling fish and seafood. Recommend visiting at least once.

Got the grouper sandwich. It was seasoned, breaded and fried while I waited. Very simple sandwich and fixings on sliced bread, yet very yummy. 2 big filets and only one fit on the sandwich, so I had leftovers!

Fun options in the cooler that you don't see often, like conch and frog legs.

No option for 6 stars. This IS the spot for fresh fish in the city. It's not just the fresh and delicious food available, it's the man behind the counter. He is a fixture here and makes everyone feel welcome.
