They use the freshest ingredients and take pride and everything they do. The cocktails are flavorful. It’s also the center of the action in the area. Fresh Flavors in a Relaxed Setting
I stopped in at the restaurant inside the Marriott in Pontiac, MI and opted for their Waldorf Salad topped with salmon. The salad itself was a standout—an excellent mix of dried cherries, apples, grapes, celery, and walnuts over a fresh kale blend, all tied together with a light apple cider dressing. The salmon portion was generous and nicely prepared, adding a satisfying protein boost to the dish.
Service was a bit on the slow side, but not enough to detract from the overall experience. The atmosphere was calm and comfortable, making it a good spot to unwind over a fresh, flavorful meal. If you're staying at the Marriott or nearby, it's worth checking out for a solid bite.

After the conference dinner a bunch of us gathered here for drinks and networking. Close your eyes and think of every hotel bar and you can see Woodward's. It's not a bad thing because there was plenty of seating and a bartender that knew what she was doing. 4 stars is a fair rating for being exactly what it is supposed to be.

Arrived at 7:30 pm. We tried to place our order to find out that there was no ribs, flat breads or the chicken special. I ordered fish and chips substituted the fries for a house salad. When my food arrived it was a fish sandwich. Truley a disappointment! Also children were running back and fouth through the restaurant the whole time we were there.

[9/1/25 Update] Let me just say, today is National Hotel Employee Day. No matter how many times I return to this hotel it is always a 120 outta 10! The restaurant staff is beyond pleasant and they may not remember my name but they remember me. So I salute the staff for their attention to detail and courteous attitudes.

We ordered a little bit of everything: 🍗 Chicken Alfredo Pasta – Creamy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. 🥩 Lamb Chops – Absolutely amazing—tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. 🥩 Steak Bites – Packed with flavor and cooked just how we like them. 🍷 Chardonnay Chicken – A perfect balance of rich, buttery goodness with just the right amount of flavor.
Not only was the food on point, but our waiter was fantastic—super knowledgeable and gave great recommendations for both drinks and food.
Overall, great food, great service, and an all-around great experience. If you’re looking for a solid spot for dinner, Woodward is 100% worth checking out!

I had the pleasure of dining at Woodward's, located at the main level of the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac, and I must say the salmon dish I had for dinner was a delightful experience!
The salmon was cooked beautifully, with a perfectly caramelized exterior and a moist, flaky interior. The seasoning struck a nice balance, enhancing the natural flavors of the fish without overpowering them. The accompanying quinoa added a hearty, nutty texture, pairing well with the salmon for a balanced and nutritious meal.
The asparagus was another highlight, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of crunch. Its fresh, earthy flavor complemented the dish, making it feel wholesome and satisfying. The presentation was elegant yet simple, befitting the warm and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant.
The only reason I’m giving this dish 4 stars instead of 5 is that the overall flavor profile could have been elevated with a touch more boldness—perhaps a hint of citrus or an additional layer of sauce to add some zest.
That said, it was a fantastic meal, and I would absolutely recommend Woodward's for anyone staying at the Marriott or in the Auburn Hills area. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!
