My first time going there today. Ordered a Beef Shawarma bowl. It was disgusting!! Dry with no seasoning, the beef looked like dried dog food. The rice was dry. I don't know how the reviews are good. Maybe paid reviews. But please come to Detroit, Dearborn, Livonia or Northville for some good authentic Mediterranean food. I spent $13 and threw my food in the garbage!!!!

You can tell coming in here that Jason, the owner of Zara, loves what he does, and it shows in the food he makes! I got a large chicken shawarma salad and it was amazing, the chicken was perfect, and he makes the pickled turnips in house. I will absolutely be back here!

I ordered a mini sandwich tray which is clearly priced $49.99 in store and on their website. I ordered in restaurant and waited there. I was charged $75 at the register and was told that the price recently went up. I didn’t mind, paid it, tipped $15 and went back and fed my employees. A month goes by and the same order is priced for $49.99 which tells me I was overcharged on my last order by $25 plus tip. Very unprofessional and petty in my opinion. My employees and I will be spending what we estimated ($700 a month) elsewhere. I hope my $20 bucks was worth the over 8k we were spending yearly there

The food here was not good on this day. I ordered a Chicken Sharma. The chicken was burnt/dry. The pitta bread or the vegetables used were not fresh and overall it had weird aftertaste. The price listed on the online menu and menu at the restaurant was not accurate. The food wasn’t worth the price. Not a good place to eat at.

Jason helped me plan and deliver a lunch for a staff of 100 educators at the end of the school year. We provided delicious food for a good price and had plenty left over for staff members to share with families back at home. I highly recommend working with Zara for your next event.

The owners Jason and his wife Cassandra are truly some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet! They go above and beyond for both their customers and their employees. The food is absolutely incredible always fresh, flavorful, and served at prices that are more than reasonable. The place is spotless, the service is top notch, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. They also killed it catering an event I hosted everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and the guests couldn’t stop raving about it. I can’t recommend this spot enough easily a 10/10 experience every time!
