Johnny's in Torch Lake is a hidden gem that truly captures the essence of an up-north bar. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped by a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The friendly locals were incredibly inviting, making it easy to strike up conversations and feel like part of the community.
Jason, the chef running the kitchen, took the time to come out and greet us, which really personalized our visit. It's not often you see such dedication to customer service. The food was exceptional, with a menu that truly highlights local flavors. If you're looking for a place that combines great food, friendly faces, and an authentic atmosphere, Johnny's is the place to be. I can't recommend it enough, and I canât wait to come back!

Not a good visit. The ribs were bad. They were overcooked and dry. Disappointing for $22.00. The drinks only had 1-3 ice cubes and we had to keep asking for more ice. The cauliflower pizza was good and probably the best thing we ordered. The complimentary bread was cold and when given another basket it was warm. Very inconsistent. We will not be going back⊠especially with a 100.00 bill for the food and service.

Ribs were very dry NOT WORTH $22, the pizza was okay. Back to the ribs they fell off the bone because of how overcooked they were. They also dumped BBQ sauce all over the ribs. The sodas were very warm and the cups smelled. There was also no ice in the cups at all. The water also wasnât working In. The bathrooms. OVERALL IT is not worth it!
Chicken parmigiana was delicious and bountiful! Delicious Kahlua cream cake for dessert. The interior needs a wall spruce up with a good cleaning and paint job. Exterior needs spruce up with weeds needing to be pulled and hanging wires rerouted to make this place more inviting and attractive. Very friendly staff and good service.

We have been a couple of times to this casual Italian place. Food has been great with generous servings. Lasagna was terrific. Staff was friendly and patient with us as we had a toddler who was quite active!

While parking was a bit tricky, it was a small price to pay for such a fantastic experience. The highlight of our visit was when a kind lady, as she was leaving, generously bought my fiancĂ©e and me a shotâwhat a thoughtful gesture that added to the friendly vibe!
