We have never had a bad meal at Jack's and this visit was just as good. I had the beer cheese soup which was excellent and the other had the chili which was excellent as well. And our server was the best we ever had. Very personable and happy. She mad our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Other than a small kerfuffle when my service dog 🐕🦺 and I walked in (A waitress with apparently no experience with ADA legal requirements for allowing service dogs. She backed down on once I explained the law's requirements) the food and service were excellent. I had the liver and onions. It wasn't something I'd write home about because they use either beef or calf's liver when I prefer chicken liver. It was still tasty and they give you 3 sides (your choice of several) and a wonderful fresh baked warm dinner roll. The food wasn't fancy, but it was tasty, well prepared and served promptly. Plus what makes this place great is the old school charm and ambiance that's genuine and not fake! I'll take this kind of diner over a glitzy modern one any day of the week.

Went to Jack's Friday night. Ordered for takeout. Three perch dinners, two beer battered cod dinners. Ordered two with fries, two with potato salad, one with a baked potato. Came with dinner rolls, plenty of butter, baked beans, and side salads. The portions were really nice. Plenty of food. We all really enjoyed our dinners. The waitress that took our order was pleasant, offering drinks while we waited.
We have been stopping at Jack's over the past forty plus years and I am HOPING that our visit the other night was just an anomoly. Because it WAS an abomination! I ordered the whitefish - and it was VERY good - but that was about all that was good about this meal The potato, baked supposedly, was hard, cold and apparently had not seen an oven in over twenty four hours. It did not come with butter or sour cream - both had been asked for repeatedly and did finally arrive toward the end of the meal - but butter would never have melted anyway. The mixed vegetables arrived on time with the fish but were actually cold. Not luke warm, but cold. Moving on to my partner's hamburger - which was also good - but it arrived without the condiments ordered. They never did arrive. Our guest's hamburger steak meal arrived without the gravy initially and eventually, when it DID finally arrive, had to be taken back to the kitchen to be warmed up because it also was cold. The mushrooms on top had been burned crispy! Our other guest ordered the hot turkey sandwich. The turkey was dry, the gravy congealed and cold and the scoop of mashed potato were again cold. We were underwhelmed by the service, to say the least. But as I said, my whitefish was absolutely fine - hot, cooked to perfection and lighly battered. If it had only been accompanied by the rest of the meal it would have been an enjoyable, or at least palatable, dining experience. Quite frankly, though I am hopeful that this was an aberration, I likely will never stop again to find out.

We were told they had good food and large cinnamon rolls. That was the understatement of the year. Breakfast was delicious....but that cinnamon roll...OMG! The softest, most delicious roll, and three of us couldn't eat it all in one sitting!

A very cute small mom and pops restaurant with a nice charming vintage look and the waitress are very kind and they have lots of yummy food 😋 the food arrived fresh and hot the atmosphere was inviting and warm my family members that were with me orders different things I had a delicious omlette and the rest of my fellow dinners had variety of burgers,wraps,salads and chicken strips and French toast with a cute lil dollop of whip cream .
