A friend took me here for lunch I did enjoy the food

Crazy expensive breakast. $19 before tip. The breakfast i got everything was burnt including the toast. Also getting over hard eggs doesnt mean burnt. Sorry excuse for food and cooks. The place is very dirty, they dont believe in cleaning. The parking lot has major pot holes.

Never thought I’d have to do anything similar to this or experience it. So I walk in the The Hut Diner aka Hamburger Hut around 6:55 PM, I do see that they are prepping to close (close at 8pm). I asked were they still accepting dine-in and the waitress was hesitant to answer, and turned to the gentlemen as he stated the “grill was down”. Asking the lady if they were selling anything else she stated no? I seen another gentlemen of a different ethnicity eating, so I asked, are you serving fries or anything not associated with the grill, she mentioned it is something with the power. Seconds into that last interaction, a family walks in, and was greeted, as I was still there, the gentlemen walks from the back and tells the family (who are of a different race) that his grill is out, but they can do something fried, this I heard. So I left, but I called them. And I simply put, that if they didn’t want to serve me they could have just let me know. I told him on the phone what I just witnessed, and he tried to clear it up by saying I could come back and he would be able to do something fried fries or wings (that’s the fryer right) and I told him that I was told something else. He responded saying she misspoke and that it wasn’t an issue with serving me, but also said in that conversation that the family was getting soup. I’ve patronized them before which is why I was returning now. What’s different between then and now I wouldn’t know, but it wasn’t an experience I would have liked to encountered. I hung up the call, confused at what just took place. I don’t think I’ll be returning. It only takes one time. No doubt they have good food, and service is normally very good, but today was different. To misspeak is one thing, but to confirm what you are misspeaking about repeating it, that’s another. If your experience defers, it very could have just been them today, but this was enough for me!

Wonderful family owned restaurant with delicious homemade food. I have never been disappointed and frequently take friends there to share the experience. Staff are friendly and helpful. Always a great time!!

Always a great time with high quality food for a good orice. It's so great to have a reliable, warm, community hub in our part of town. I have trouble finding good classic diners but this takes me back to my favorites! Look out for the specials!!! ?

Been going here for some time now and I have not had one breakfast or dinner that I could even come close to regretting ordering. Food is on point and staff are friendly and accommodating. It's a small place with a big heart for their customers. I definitely recommend giving them a try.
