Good smash burgers
Love the newest incarnation of the Cedar Inn, the new owners are doing a great job! This place is a northern Michigan institution.
This place is great! Fresh remodel with clean bathrooms! Great place to have a few cocktails and hang out
Smash Burger was a great smash! Loved it, went well with a cold beer. Bartender/waitress/buser gave us wonderful service. Glad we got there before the kitchen closed...yum
Honestly one of my lower reviews yet needs to be seen, for starters we waited at table for ten minutes just to get a menu then we order drinks, oh man that was long, we ordered three lemonades one coke and one Diet Coke, after a 15 minute wait we got three lemonades and 2 waters, wait a minute we’re missing something here, 10 minutes til a nice man comes over and asks us what we would like to order, told him we were missing a Diet Coke and a regular coke he very quickly got us our drinks kudos to him for that, food was good we ordered two chicken strips one with fries one with onion rings, 1 pulled pork dinner, brisket sandwich, and an appetizer with mozzarella sticks, we got everything except one thing, mozzarella sticks, turns out woman who was taking order flipper the page to take myself and one other persons drinks and appetizer (mozzarella sticks) so that kind of explains why.
Great all around experience. Clean establishment that has plenty of seating. I have had plenty of food such as the grillers, sandwiches, burgers, ribs, cheesecake, appetizers like the pickle fries, mini tacos, cheesecake etc. One of my favorites is the Cedar Smash burger. Everything has been delicious. Keep up the good work. ❤️ Aaron
I have been a frequent customer of Fork n Around and have been following their journey and was excited to see them transition to the Cedar Inn. The food is the same great taste as Fork n Around with large portions. The smokehouse griller with pork is great as always, and the american cheeseburger was one of the best burgers we've had in a long time, good size for sides as well. The loaded potatoe was huge with plenty of toppings and cooked great! We ordered in the restaurant for take out. The restaurant was clean inside with bar stools and tables with room for a wheelchair or walker if needed. There is a ramp to enter.
Our visit was a resounding success, thanks to the outstanding BBQ pork meal, which arrived in a substantial portion. Despite our late arrival, the staff graciously accommodated us, and the waitress delivered top-notch service. The restaurant's cleanliness and newly renovated space were equally impressive, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover that it had been a local fixture for years. As out-of-towners, we were thrilled to find that it outshone Famous Dave's.
1 star on the food was for the last time we had it. Let me clarify....EVERY TIME we ordered from Forkin Around everything was amazing. Many times over. New building not the same results. BUT, as angry as we were about it, ownership owned up to it apologized and made it right. We were ready to give up. Knowing the type of people they are it's worth going back. Been coming up trail riding for over 20 years. I love that town and it's great to see cedar inn back open. If you have a problem these folks will MAKE IT RIGHT. They want your business and need your business. They will do what it takes to keep you as a valued customer. So DONT GIVE up on them. Go back!!! They are growing and I honestly didn't take growing pains into account. They will be just as amazing as I remember them being when they were down the road.
The staff seems to handle it well. The food is top-notch.

It's the racist flags that they choose to fly out front that make it a real wholesome experience for the whole family. And edit for the racist owner: You know exactly how your flags are being used today and by what groups, especially ones loved by the KKK. There is no pride in seeing your garbage "Don't tread on me" flag in our town.
