We used to love Chicken House, but unfortunately, our last two visits since the reopening have been disappointing — both times our chicken was burnt.
While waiting for my order, I also witnessed an uncomfortable moment where a staff member loudly expressed frustration after a phone call with a customer. I completely understand how tough customer service can be, but it felt unprofessional, especially with other customers around.
I messaged the restaurant on Facebook in a considerate tone just to share my experience, but although the message was seen, I never received a response. I truly hope things improve, as we used to really enjoy coming here

Nothing like the photo they post Dry isn’t the word for,it items listed were so sparse they might as well left it off No flavor, no sauce. Without a water it would have been difficult to swallow. Embarrassing to charge $10.00 All run by people who obviously don’t care or aren’t trained or both. This my first post online I’m sorry it wasn’t a good one.

(Edit: Almost 2 months later now, and we gave Chicken House a try again because we needed something quick and easy. Very happy to see the Throwbacks on the menu, and the prices seem to have come back down a touch. Sadly, the Nashville Hot is still not as saucy as it used to be, but other than that, everything we got was fantastic! We're also looking forward to seeing the new ordering window that's supposed to be coming soon.)
We were so excited for chicken house to reopen and excited about the extended hours, but we are unhappy about the new menu. It's great that there are more options now, but completely getting rid of the specialty named sandwich list and making the menu all build-it-yourself was a poor move. We had to look up the old menu to figure out what all the toppings were on our favorite sandwiches only to see about a 50% increase in price. Then, when we got them, they were not the same as before. The Nashville Hot, in particular, was quite lacking.
We will likely still get Chicken House every once in a while since it's so close, but definitely not nearly as often as we used to. Probably won't be recommended Chicken House anymore either.

since it's re-opening the quality is just not there any more, it's sub-par at best in my opinion. none of the items are made like they were originally, the chicken tacos have jar consist pickled jalapeños. I have ordered twice hoping the first time was a fluke but sadly it wasn't.

We like stopping here for ice cream and shakes and would love to be able to get food here as well but the quality is lacking. We live close by and pass it every day, making it a convenient place for take out but just not a fan of the food. The chicken is typically dark meat, has a slimy feel to it and no crisp to the batter. If you’re looking for your typical, southern style fried chicken sandwich, this isn’t it. We took a gamble and got sandwiches for a group once and were embarrassed when no one liked it.

As a GL community local, we have tried this business several times since they opened, unfortunately each experience was disappointing.
