Just got take out today. Have had food from there 3 times and were happy. My wife always gets the tacos and she loves them. Tonight I tried the sub torta. It was probably the worst mexican food I ever had. The bread was so soggy I couldn't eat it. It just felt so wet I had to throw it away after a couple bites. Never had a problem at galindos with something like this.

Amazing food! The quality and flavor of this food beats ALL the other Mexican restaurants downriver. The food is made by an actual chef who knows food and flavor! He checks on every table to ensure the food tastes great. If you haven’t been here yet, you need to try it!!

What an outstanding meal. Food was ready for pickup PROMPTLY. It was warm, DELICIOUS, made and packaged with care. Some of the best Mexican food that I've had outside of southwest. Support small business!

The freshest Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at, hands down. Their food is fantastic! My favorite!

A couple months ago we placed a carryout order & our family enjoyed. My son said his beef tacos were delicious & this was his new favorite Mexican restaurant. We all agreed. Hubby had steak tacos/corn tortillas. Daughter in law had tostadas & I had Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (shrimp in garlic butter sauce). I'm picky about beans & rice, happy to say I really liked them. A couple of weeks ago, hubby & I took my Dad there for lunch & he's picky about his Mexican restaurants. Happy to say he too enjoyed his meal & said he would return. That's a big compliment from him. He got the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (shrimp in garlic butter sauce). This time hubby got the steak tacos & enchiladas & I got the shrimp fajitas. Also, I enjoyed the Jamaica beverage (hibiscus herbal tea) Looking forward to our next meal here! I highly recommend. Let's not lose this local gem in downriver Riverview.

Was Downriver for work and had a taste for quesabirria tacos. This was the first spot that popped up in this area. Read the reviews and decided to stop in and I’m GLAD that I did. I ordered the 12’ quesabirria which was made quesadilla style instead of individual tacos along with a side of rice and beans. It. Was. Phenomenal! I ordered the Horchata for my drink and it makes you want to slap somebody! Maaaannnn that was good. Overall my food was seasoned to perfection including the consommé that comes with the quesabirria and the horchata was perfectly sweetened. I ate all of my food before I remembered to take a picture of it. However it looks just like the picture in the restaurant window.
The restaurant is clean with welcoming decor that says “stay for a bit.” So if you’re in the area or if you’ll drive a distance for great food like me, stop in and check them out for sure. The owner said used to be El Pollo Negro food truck but now the brick and mortar is called El Zarape. Salud!!

El Zarape has delicious authentic tasting food. I enjoyed everything I tried. The tostadas, nachos, botana and tacos are a must try. Generous amounts of food. Can't stay out of this place. My husband agrees and suggests we go there at least once a week. A patron told us to try the fajitas, will do next order I make!!!
