I’ve eaten donuts all over the country. People have gotten sick watching me eat donuts. They tell me ‘slow down’. No, I’m a donut-lover and you are a donut-fraud, your vain concern and weak appetite, presented here during the triumphant occasion of having donuts, makes you small in the eyes of God and men alike. This place wins my award for the best donut shop in the USA. They nail the originals, and also bolster them into an ideal version of that donut. More impressively, they introduce totally new donuts and pastries—while acing it every time, AND they bake bread. I’ve always left with a donut or pastry that I didn’t know existed 5 minutes earlier. This spirit of invention alongside masterful execution is pure love and devotion to the craft, which I find absent in donut shops everywhere else.

Used to be a favorite but not so much anymore. Owners need to visit Gilda's in Boyne to see true bakery perfection. Tradewinds has over the top sugar, sugar, and more sugar. They ruined it by frosting, glazing, and icing everything to death. They had everything under glass except a plate of truffles which gave the impression was a free sample. The elderly clerk really snapped at my stroke-survivor husband for taking one. Prices are very high given the lack of quality. Cookies are $1-2 each. If you're looking for a sugar overload, this is it. Otherwise, there's better options out there. Staff also has had a bad attitude the last two times we stopped in. We won't be back.

Very cute little bakery! I've stopped in a few times for treats and haven't been disappointed by the quality or variety that is available. Reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend!

I placed an order less than a week in advance and Tradewinds definitely delivered! I ordered a cake for a bachelorette party that was camp themed. The bride chose carrot cake and cream cheese frosting, and it may have been the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. EVERYONE loved this cake! Everyone in the shop was super nice, and the donuts are incredible too.
When we are up north we go here to pick up some baked goods and treats. We do sometimes order their Schafer doughnuts ahead of time so we get them. We have gone in where they were sold out for the day. Helpful staff. Usually busy on a weekend morning

I went in for the first time since being new to the area. I have been driving by at least 3 days a week and kept telling myself I needed to go in. I am so happy I did, the place smelled amazing and their cookies and doughnuts were so FRESH and DELICIOUS. I sell real estate so I will be making orders for clients and open houses from here!
Also, a very sweet customer heard me say it was my first time in so she bought me a cookie because she said they HAD to be tasted. And she was right!
BONUS: They were in theme of the holiday. Picture for reference.
A lovely little bakery with a delicious selection of goodies. The staff are helpful and the food is great - Make sure you get there early, and enjoy the donuts!

I love Tradewinds my 7 year old son and I stop in for a donut and I get my coffee a few days a week. They make real coffee in a real Bunn machine for 1.58 a cup. The donuts are made from scratch by people who live and pay taxes in rogers city. So I consider 2 bucks and a few coins a bargain for a scratch hometown made donut. (And real coffee is like maybe a 1.75?)
Basically everyday I walk out with the best donut you've ever had and a fantastic cup of coffee for under 5 bucks every day.
Love this shop and the staff is the best in town!
Parking: It's super easy to park they have a lot, and the street parking is super easy and always available. The street parking in rogers city is great all and all.
Kid-friendliness: It's full of donuts trust me your kids going to be real friendly in there after a caramel fry cake
