I had a great time here, watching the Lions game. Karissa the bartender was great. She was very friendly & professional with her service. The food is awesome, with big portions for what you pay for. Overall, Airport Wheat & Rye is a great spot to chill at

Your basic bar with a twist: incredible, HUGE sandwiches. Great rueben, good seasoned fries, and never a wait for a drink refresh. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try out the rest of the menu! Polite and professional staff, ample television screens, and a fair bit of open space to keep the air moving.

We absolutely love this place, and a huge part of that is due to our waitress, Sarah. She was wonderfully sweet, kind, and incredibly patient, making our visit truly special. This is the definition of a family restaurant—a genuinely kid-friendly place that excels in every way. The overall atmosphere makes it a joy to visit. Highly recommend!

Worst fish and chips I ever had. Tough and batter clubby. When asked waitress for butter for roll she replied we have none. Been going their for years with family and friends. 20.00 for fish and chips /over priced. Tasted like a piece of carp!!!. never go back.

A little divey and dark, but holy cow was that French dip killer! Staff was all super friendly and attentive. Had a random $1 beer special when I was in too so that doesn’t hurt.

Pretty average experience. Reuben was huge, but nothing to write home about for flavor.

What an awesome decision to stop here after Washington vs. Michigan football game. It was a good place to decompress from a tough loss for our Huskies. But Hannah helped us cheer up! Mahalo Hannah for great service! GO DAWGS! #operationdubsup

Had a nice size group go in. Food was decent. The portions are HUGE. So keep that in mind when eating bere.
Honestly service really ruined the overall experience. We had to get up to beg for drinks etc and refills.
They didnt know anything behind the bar. They didnt have whip cream for the bj shot. She said she wasnt sure what else to make instead..most bartenders at least have a better hold on suggestions or ideas.

The service was good but they will make you pay for bottle water rather than give you a glass of water.

Had drinks last night with a friend. Karissa was our bartender and we really liked her. She was busy but she was still able to serve the bar and patio without us having to wait. We had light conversation with her a couple of times and she was good at multi tasking and keepin it movin. We had a good, we’ll be back.

The food items are so big and good. So pack your appetite.
Before heading downtown to a concert. We stopped for a bite to eat.
Upon entering. It has been years as the walls are now bright white and the atmosphere inside is allot brighter then before. ( When the walls were dark brown and or black ).
That dungy bar feeling is gone.
Our waitress Candy was prompt to come to our table and always made sure we had drink refills and checked up on us. Thank you.
Onto the main event. We ordered large Caeser salads and onion rings and a burger.
The onion rings were hot and crisp. Very good.
The Caesar salads were packed and very large. Dressings taste house made. Not bad. The salads were enjoyed !
The burger was cooked just how I like them. Medium rare and the bun could be the softest bun I have ever had. I opted for the combo which came with fries and house made cole slaw. Candy was very attentive in that she brought a new basket of fries and said these were better then the first batch. Which she was correct. Those were hot a crisp. Coleslaw had fermented. The first cup was non edible. I nicely told her at which point she went back and grabbed a newer one that was better. Cole slaw is tricky and has a short shelf live before the cabbage ferments.
All in all we had a good meal and a very nice server. We will be back :)
