During our recent stay at the Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport, we decided to eat at the Big Boy restaurant located next door. The convenience of the location was definitely a plus after a long day of travel.
The experience itself, however, was mixed. Service was friendly, and the restaurant offered the familiar Big Boy comfort food menu, but the overall quality felt average. The food was edible but not particularly memorable, and it lacked the freshness and consistency we expected. Given the close proximity to a major airport hotel, we had hoped for a bit more polish and efficiency.
What stood out most was that this ended up being our only option for breakfast since the Sheraton restaurant was closed during the daytime. That added to the disappointment, as Big Boy didn’t quite deliver the quality you’d hope for when it becomes the fallback dining choice.
Overall, Big Boy served its purpose as a quick, convenient option, but it wouldn’t be my first choice if there were other nearby restaurants of higher quality.

This is a great place to eat, we had dinner and the next we had an all you can eat breakfast buffet. They have great hospitality and are always there to serve. Not waiting at all. Thank you for making my childrens birthday weekend enjoyable. You saved us on breakfast because our hotel free breakfast was out of food at 8:30 so I am grateful you saved the weekend for us.

We have been coming here for over 40 years Quality took a big drop. Lettuce was wilted. None of our group finished the meals.
We miss the great food they had in the 70,s 80,s 90,s and early 2000,s.

Thank you to the mother/daughter duo who took care of us this afternoon at the Romulus, MI location. We were a group of probably 50 people and they did a great job just the two of them. Fantastic service. Thank you to the cooks as well. Food was served quick and delicious.

This place is so expensive. I paid $28 for hamburger, fries, soda, and ice cream for dessert. It was a huge dessert, I wouldn't have ordered it if I would have thought about it.

Ok the rating for this place was making me doubt coming here for sweetest day but guys they were great!!! We had a wonderful waitress name Tyler or Taylor but she was super nice and super fast with our service and the food was so much better then leos!!! We are simple people and we enjoy our meal and our service!! Oh also they have a salad bar again!!!

On 11/10/2024 Took my oldest daughter here the food was good until I found a piece of what looked like steel wool or aluminum foil I didn't get anything off my bill for reporting it found a couple dirty plates as I was getting my food. I don't know if they cleaned the bathrooms the one I used was very unclean, but I did let them know.
