So I had a hankering for some barbecue for lunch so I fired up the old Google machine and they recommended this place. Placed my order over the phone and was there in about 15 minutes. I gotta say this place is kind of a hole in the wall but I never judge anything by its appearance. When I walked in I was happily greeted and my food is ready to go so I paid and took it home. I've had a lot of barbecue and I really look out for the unique places that do things a little differently and this place did not disappoint. The sauce was surprisingly sweet which was definitely not a bad thing since I'm not a big fan of the same old same old. The brisket, so tender. The ribs, delectable, The mac & cheese was not the soupy kind which I really enjoyed but let's talk about those beans. Whatever magical sweet sauce was in those beans don't ever change that recipe, man was that good. Overall a very pleasant experience and I have found a barbecue place close to my home which I will be frequenting.

I'm here for a business trip, I was looking for something filling for dinner. Saw the photos and decided to drive up and order there. Super polite and friendly staff ordered and had a great conversation while I waited. Got back to the hotel and the food was amazing. Ribs were great and the Mac and cheese (I was told was fantastic) was better than I was expecting with all the hype. If I am ever back in this area, I'm heading here first

Stopped in after reading the reviews...me, my self and my tastebuds are doing the HAPPY COMFORT FOOD DANCE.
Came in to try this place out, I drive by it daily leaving work. It smelled amazing when I walked in, the owner was very nice and you could tell he was very proud of his food. It could definitely use a solid cleaning in there, it’s dingy, and very smoke coated. Are you smoking the food indoors? The rumors about being very tender meats, and fall off the bone ribs are true! Very tender. There is such a great smoke flavor in the meat. This is where my opinion is different than others here, I’m not a fan of everything being drenched in BBQ sauce. I think it buries all the hard work of seasoning and smoking. But that’s my opinion. I hope they continue to reach their targeted audience and prosper.

Originally being from down south where we love bbq, this place gives that hole in a wall good food vibes, I got the brisket dinner with greens and Mac n cheese. By far the best bbq I’ve had in Michigan. The owner is very friendly , everything’s homemade , all in all if I could rate it 6 stars I would.

I have been here a few times since they opened. I have never been disappointed. Everything has always been delicious! The couple that run this place are the best! They put their heart sould into every dish, and it shows! Portions and prices are perfect! Never change and keep up the great work in helping this city become greater!
