It exists so that’s something. They have a thing called vegetable fried rice. The “vegetable” is some slivers of carrots. The rice is steamed. It’s never seen the inside of a sauté pan and is the furthest thing from fried. A squirming pile of maggots has more in common with fried rice than this dish. The meatballs make my high school’s meatballs look like 4 Star Michelin meatballs in comparison. But hey, it’s free and they have bottomless M&M’s and good drinks. The people are friendly. Just don’t expect anything other than the most insipid and uninspiring food
Good food, clean
Highly recommend going to the SkyLounge at gate A38 if you want a bigger selection and more room. Nothing necessarily negative with this one, just very small and limited is all.
For such a small lounge, I have to say I really enjoyed it. I typically end up at a different club when I'm at DTW so this is my first time at A18. I really enjoyed the friendly service, and the view of the tarmac is rad! The only problem is that the seats with the best view get really warm during sunset, so be warned. It is August though, so maybe it isn't as warm the rest of the year.
Very mediocre food options and quality. Definitely one of the lower tier clubs. Service from staff is mediocre.
Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Thank you Alicia and Thomas for your kindness in getting my phone charged up!
The nasty "chicken apple sausage" tastes like plastic. It should be pork or turkey. Delta wants to chase away the crowds, so most "food" is labeled as either bland Vegan or bland Vegetarian. This makes Omnivores and Carnivores like me walk down the hall to a Priority Pass lounge, which makes flavorful food a Priority.
Delta tends to have nice lounges, but 5 stars for the broccoli cheese soup. Very friendly staff too.
Kind of small and cramped. Not a great food selection.
Phenomenal!!!! Coney Island day today
Restaurantji Recommends
The actually lounge itself is pretty outdated but the staff is incredibly friendly and the food is really good. Ask for Paul, he’s so great and will make you feel at home right away. I’m honestly looking forward to my next layover in Detroit to say hi to everyone!
Good lounge, not too crowded with great apron views. Food is lacking at this location compared to the bigger lounges in the center of the A terminal.
Same same always

So far so good. You really want to get here 2 hours in advance. Long waiting around and long lines. Efficient staff. Restrooms are clean.
