Visited Mel's Pine Pantry last week on our way home (back to southern Michigan) and we stumbled across this quaint place! We had a friendly waitress, cute atmosphere, and our breakfast was incredible. We loved the rustic / small business feel :-) Our order of Janet's hashbrowns and cinnamon French toast was delicious.
Hopefully we will be back soon on another trip!

The food was pretty gross. The guy serving us was kinda off. It felt like a little cave in there, and the seats were hard. I'm not sure what they did to the bacon, but it was inedible. Plus the price was high. I wouldn't recommend eating here.

Terrible! As far as the food..... half the things on the menu are whited out and than when you try to order they tell you they are out of so much. Though clean EXCEPT the gross ceiling fan in the 8 table restaurant it is run down! Big time. The bathrooms were gross....smaller than an outhouse that had a rusty stained sink, when you closed bathroom door with a hook.... and sat down.... my knees touched the door and I'm not tall only 5'4". I would not recommend!!!! If you are traveling off 75.... so NOT exit. It's far off the road. About the food... it took a long time to get for chicken tenders/hashbrowns & hashbrown plate with cheese, onion, green pepper and ham on top of..... it was at best acceptable VERY SMALL PORTIONS.. we are still hungry! They serve coke products by the can.... at $2 each! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!!

This place is amazing... I ordered biscuits and gravy.. Mandy ordered the French Toast.. (mine came with eggs which I promptly gave to Mandy) and the French Toast came with bacon.. Literally a "home cooked" meal.. it was fantastic!! Staff is great.. Zack (I apologize if spelled your name incorrectly) cashed us out, and with some conversation found his mom and step dad own the place... seriously top notch.. Short distance from Higgins lake... great food.. good prices.. well worth the stop.. anytime we are in town we will be stopping to eat there!

Very hard to figure out when they are open. They posted on Facebook the day before they would be open and then we go there and they were not open. We have had this happen several times before. Not very reliable on when they are and are not open.
