This restaurant is very charming with good food. However, I've stopped ordering from this place. On numerous occasions (5+), I ordered my burger well done with no pink meat. On all occasions except one, my burger was pink. The staff is super nice, and the curly fries are great, but they can't seem to get a request for a fully cooked burger correct.
Kid-friendliness: They have a menu for kids, however (as it is a bar), I would not bring my children here, especially when busy. The locals that hang out in there are constantly using foul language.
We live in the area and wanted to try someplace different eat at and we selected Hucks in Rudyard, Michigan. We were not disappointed. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with Curley Fries which was an upgrade, it comes with house made chips normally. I paired my meal with Angry Orchard Hard Cider which was on tap. My son ordered a Bacon Burger and House Made Fries. He had a lemonade with his meal. My wife had a Chicken Sandwich with the house made chips. The burgers were made with fresh ground beef you could tell by the size and shape. The burgers were delicious. The fry portions were huge as you can see in the photos. The Curley fries were good. I had some of my sons hand cut fries and they were perfect, I really like them better than the Curley Fries, but they were both good. I had some of the house chips not my favorite they cold not hot. Would we go there again yes. Next time we will order a pizza. Its worth the trip to Rudyard to go to Hucks for a meal. We went on a Monday and it was busy.

Myself and our party of 6 were in the establishment for just over two hours, and not because we wanted to be. We were one of 5 tables sat during our time there, around 20 customers total. One waitress, one bartender, and one cook working the whole place. It was 45 minutes before our food order was taken, and about another 45 for it to come out. Everyone was kind, and it wasn’t super loud or busy for prime lunch time, but clearly understaffed and frustratingly slow
Awesome little dive bar. Very cool on the inside. Great fish dinner on Friday !! TASTY . Great seasoning. Big pieces of fish, baked potato. So good. First time visiting.
