Great location for local coffee!

I frequent a lot of coffee houses and this is one of the top place. Their coffee is extremely smooth and full bodied without being too strong or bitter. They have a nice selection of fresh food items as well and I like the size offerings of their drinks. I have two issues with this place and I hope the owners/ managers see this. 1) We visited here twice during the holidays and in both instances, the young lady working was all alone. She had customers lined up practically out the door and almost every seat in the shop full. Both times the person working was very polite and professional but no one should have to deal with this all alone. What if something happened to her? What if there was an emergency? Very, very poor judgment on behalf of their bosses. 2) I like how clean and cozy this place is. The coffee is excellent but it is also more expensive than any other place in the area. Creation Coffee is also a frequent place of mine and theirs is just as good as Live Oa but not as expensive, although they only offer two sizes (12 and 16 ounce). Overall, it is a nice place to enjoy a good cup of coffee.I only wish the folks in charge would be more concerned for the welfare and safety of their employees.Robert M.

They are always very friendly and helpful. Delicious drinks and food. Only way to make it better is to have more staff working not just one person.

Decided to check this location out as I had been to the Midland location. It is clear the same principals that have allowed the Midland location to thrive may not be transferring over to satellite locations. We drove up to the drive thru and the response time was less then stellar. With no one else in the line we waited over twenty minutes before we just decided to drive off without receiving our seven dollar drinks. Not sure if the issue is short staffing, or a lack of proper training but I personally won't be returning till these issues are sorted out. I'm all for supporting local. However something is missing here.

Live Oak is such a great little coffee shop, and it's got some of the nicest baristas around. The atmosphere inside is cozy and full of greenery, and I appreciate all the outdoor seating as well. As far as food goes, I highly recommend both the traditional quiche and the soup options (especially the vegetable soup when they get that back on the menu). Their seasonal drinks have been lovely, especially the autumn selection, but my go-to is usually a white chocolate and raspberry oatmilk latte. If you're unsure of what to order, just ask! I've found some new favorite drinks just by asking for recommendations.I'm moving out of the area shortly, but I'm hoping I can stop by again in the future, because this is a fantastic place to stop for coffee in Saginaw.

Joke of a coffee shop. We had to wait 45 minutes to get one simple coffee with cream. No espresso, just coffee. And the cream curdled because it was clearly bad. Worst coffee place I've ever been.

Found this gem little over a week ago. Amazing coffee, amazing food, staff is always great. I love the late hours, cold brew is amazing!!! I can't stress how amazing this place is. I make the drive from Freeland everyday just to have their products! A+++++They also offer drive-thru if you are into that.
