Great food. Sucks they have a bunch of crackheads next door lock your shit when you're inside.
Got the chicken nachos, but it just came with chicken and some cheese. No lettuce, no tomato, no nothing extra, and it was to go. So we did not notice that until we got home.

Daughter loved the baked goods and they had very fresh food being made in the back. Hot tamales ready to go for really good prices.

Best authentic Mexican tacos I've had. I get the soft corn tacos with steak. This is now my go-to place for good Mexican Food.

Very nice people, good selection of food and items and it’s a great place to bring back child hood memories of the little stores in Mexico.

Amazing food, I love the way they make their Carnitas, their tamales are 10/10, and their arroz con leche (when they make it) is AMAZING! They make cakes to order but always have single servings of tres leche cake and it is to die for! I even ordered like 200 tortillas for my wedding, everybody loved them.
Before you leave check to make sure your food was made correctly and they didn’t forget anything.

We were in Saginaw for a soccer tournament and looking for a place to eat but not a typical restaurant. If you are looking for authentic Mexican Food in this area, you must try Maria Elena's Bakery. This is a family-owned place and the building is not big. We watched as they were making fresh tortillas. The menu is basic but wonderful choices. My daughter had the burrito bursting with flavor. She couldn't finish the whole thing. I had the shredded beef tacos. Aside from the food, there is a small market and bakery. We ordered take-out!
Parking: This is a small building and the food is authentic!

I think the quesadilla was lacking a bit of cheese for my taste, but that could just be because I ordered it with PURELY cheese, so idk. BUT THE TACOS, oh the tacos. To me at first it looked like it could be a little dry for my taste (I love very soupy tacos) but boy I was wrong, and it's not like they were soupy or anything they just hit DIFFERENT, like the taste was awesome but the weird thing is I've never tasted them like that before (even know I've had them with the same ingredient like ground beef but still just different and right) so that was my fav part of my meal. The weird thing is since it's different it's not like they're worse or better than anything I've had before, in fact they'd prolly make a list of top 3 i would think, but they were just different in such a right way. Bravo. Also, love that this place is also a bakery, very convenient and honestly a very good business decision cuz that area doesn't really seem to have many if any bakeries other than this one. Nice way to bring something cool to that community and just great business and outside decoration overall. Will be eating again when I stop being lazy and walk a measly 15 minutes to here again. Also might be my go-to for bakery stuff now, yay! I think I'll also try some new things next time as well lol I have a picky taste (hence why I ordered plain quesadilla and plain tacos)
