we came from out of town for the hockey tournament. A local recommend it as a place to get good quality food for very cheap. Same with beers. It was a bit of a dive bar, but had some character to it. The food was very good, and beers cheap. The service was great. As a Canadian trying to budget with the weak dollar

My husband and I have been coming here since 1985. It's a nice friendly neighborhood bar with good food. We had lunch there today and our bill was $14.00. It's the only place I know where you can get a burger for $5.00. And they have ground baloney sandwiches!
