Overwhelmed with the vibe and decor as soon as we pulled up curbside! I've heard so many good things about Valerie's, and she did not disappoint! The dog's name is Cado, like Avocado!
We had the chicken soup for an appetizer, and it's amazing! Way different profile than I'm used to, slightly acidic in a good way! Adding the crackers really set it off.

I am a frequent customer. Love the atmosphere. You could not ask for more friendly people. The dog is so well behaved. He makes you feel loved too. The food is amazing. It is very reasonably priced. Would recommend everyone stop in. Only restaurant I regularly visit.
This place was an unexpected gem. We came for sandwiches and left with full hearts—and a rainbow crumble dessert, gifted by the lovely staff. The Slim Bob was the sandwich of our dreams: fresh, flavorful, and totally hit the spot. But the real cherry on top? How incredibly dog-friendly they are. We brought our puppy hoping to sit outside, and instead found ourselves welcomed like locals. Everyone was kind, the vibe was warm, and it’s clear Valerie’s is built on care—for food, for people, and for pups. If you’re ever in Saginaw, do yourself a favor and stop in. It’s fuzzzy-duck approved. 🐾

I went to lunch with 2 other ladies. Upon our food arriving at our table there was a dog that came over to every single table. He’s a big dog that his head is leveled with the tables. Instantly I was disgusted!🤢 My appetite went out the window!! The thought that there preparing food while the dog is roaming around freely in the dining area!! I had the manager come to my Table and I express to her my complaint! She got so defensive and put me out of her restaurant ! The health department definitely will be receiving a call!! This is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. Valarie should be ashamed!!
