This really is more of a place for take-out than dine-in; the seating area is small, narrow, and allows very little light to enter. And yet, though I'm almost purely a dine-in guy, I enjoy coming here. The hearty, delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine and the friendly service thoroughly make up for the shortcomings of the building. If you want real Mexican food, this is the place to go in the Saint Johns area.
The food is unbelievable. I just moved here from New Mexico and I never dreamed I could get real Mexican food this good in Saint John’s. The food is great and full of so much flavor and the sauces are incredible. So so much better than I could’ve ever expected.
Wonderful restaurant! Owner cooks and represents his restaurant very proudly. Everything, I mean everthing tasted delicious! If you are offered hibiscus tea order it! I ordered a chicken chimichunga which came with rice, beans, salad with pickled carrots and a grilled jalapeño pepper. Chips and salsa were the best I have ever had.
