Food was good.

Great diner that's losing business because of crumby city parking kiosks & apps. Such a shame.

Absolutely fantastic place. Good prices, big portions, and well made food. I absolutely love this place

Took an hour to get our food (950-1050)

Excellent food, great staff, atmosphere is definitely old time hometown diner, worn but clean with a creative chef with a sense of humor. I took my “California kids” who were visiting to Thornton’s and my son and I having the same strange sense of humor, looked at the menu which had Mickey Mouse oancakes ( on children's menu) and a piglet dish listed with it but no piglet pancake - lightbulb! We asked our excellent waitress if the chef had a sense if humor and sent a drawing of a piglet pancake that we “wanted to order”. We expected either the wrath of a busy chef or laughter , but what we got!!! - well! Shocked delighted and amazed at the off the cuff creativity! Loved it! Thanks Thornton’s for a great morning!

We visited on a Sunday. The kitchen was extremely slow. 60 minutes, still waiting 👎

This is exactly what I want in a hole in the wall local restaurant. The food was amazing, staff very friendly. Great menu options, bigger than it looks from the street. We had about a 10 minute wait for a table on Sunday morning at 1030am. Order was perfect, food Delicious. 10 out of 10 will come back and highly recommend.

Great home town diner vibes with all the standards. I had the Reuben and the meat was a little chewy, but tasted great.

Cute hometown dinner with bussing b&g, and the best blueberry/chocolate chip muffins around.

This may be one of the saddest restaurants in Michigan. I could tell exactly what the food would be like the moment I stepped inside, and I mean that in the worst way possible. Everything on their menu is basic food that can be made at home with very minimal effort and very minimal flavor. And for some reason the service was still painfully slow for a meal I didn’t even want. Everyone in our group was left thoroughly disappointed
