Good wines but mostly, the older guy pouring wine made the experience perfect. He did a great job taking us on a tour with the wines. Keep up the energy.
such a cute tasting room! my friend and i did a tasting each and chose different samples so we could try all the reds and whites, along with a rose. all of the wine was AMAZING. i wanted to buy a bottle of all of them and Lee was great with explaining the wines!
Wonderful experience and friendly staff. I've already recommended this location twice.
The best in Southwest Michigan!
This was me and my fiancés first time doing a wine tasting and we are blown away by how great the atmosphere was and how friendly the staff was! It was a last-minute decision, but made for the greatest first experience we could’ve ever had! 12/10 would recommend, they have some great wines to choose from and definitely is on our top favorites!
Lovely shop and highly recommend the Ice wine!
I tried a tasting of their sweeter wines, and I found them quite good. The traminette was especially nuanced and delicious. The ice wine was also very balanced despite being very sweet. The store was cozy, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a decent conversation with them during my tasting and left feeling quite happy with my experience. I’d recommend this tasting room in a heartbeat.
Good wines and super knowledgeable staff
Hostess was very knowledgeable
This winery is an absolute gem!!! The staff are very welcoming and pleasant to interact with. Even though it was incredibly busy the front cashier was dedicated to answering our questions and grabbing some bottles for the group.
This winery sets itself apart from the other wineries in the area because they are not pretentious at all. The vibe is very friendly, cozy, and pleasant.
I've been here a couple times and HIGHLY recommend the ice wine. The first time I visited White Pine, I tasted and loved the ice wine but did not get myself a bottle. This regrettable decision lived rent-free in my head for almost 2 years, so I had to come back and grab a bottle.
Seriously, TRY/GET THE ICE WINE!!!

Wonderful little place. Unique wines made here in Michigan. Stop by here and get all sorts of different kinds samples before you buy ??
Found this gem while passing on my way to Chicago from Detroit. They had a Groupon available for a discounted rate wine tasting. The tasting was a flight of 5 different wines of choice and you can add more for a couple of dollars each. Ended up purchasing 6 bottles because everything that I tried I enjoyed. The service was inviting, friendly and fun. Will be back in the summer months for sure.
The atmosphere was fun! I did have a poor experience with an older male who was serving my group. I have Celiac Disease so I have to confirm if wine is gluten free (meaning it wasn't stored in barrels that are sealed with glue that has wheat - which then seeps into the wine) I asked the gentlemen if all of their wines are gluten free and his response was "there ain't no bread in wine". Now, as someone who's living in 2024 with an allergy to gluten, I'm well adjusted to being mocked for my allergy but I'll never understand someone in the food and beverage industry making a joke out of something they should be taking more seriously. It also wasn't even the comment (which wasn't even a clever joke) it was the tone he said it in, like I was a blonde bimbo worried about breaking my diet. I didn't appreciate it at all and then when I tried to clarify (because again he didn't even answer my very serious question) he basically dismissed me, saying "I know, I know", like he knew why I was asking. It left me feeling 1) Embarrassed, because clearly he thought I was an idiot. and 2) Uncomfortable because I was left still wondering if he actually knew why I was asking. Thankfully I didn't get sick. And I have the feeling if you had to take 5 days off of work to deal with the illness that I get when I accidently have gluten, you probably wouldn't think it's so funny. I'm not sure when allergies became a joke to people. But it's not funny. Or professional. Or kind. Can people not just be nice and respectful?Other than that he was clearly well informed on all of the wines offered. And I gave 3 stars because all of the other people in my party seemed to enjoy their drinks. Hopefully this review will be seen or shared with that gentlemen and he might choose to be more respectful in the future.
Had a blast at White Pine Winery! The staff was incredible and made the wine experience a total joy. The wines? Amazing! Reds, whites, they've got it all. If you're into great service and top-tier wines without the fuss, White Pine Winery is the spot. ??
