My grandson has celiac (gluten intolerance). When I called, Mac’s assured me that staff was trained to handle food allergies. They certainly were! First, they had a large choice of options. But I was also very impressed at the care that the staff took to make sure he had nothing that had even a touch of contact with gluten. Mac’s was the most careful restaurant we’ve eaten at and my Grandson said he had the best hamburger (and gf bun) that he’s ever had anywhere....
Seafood is my favorite so on a recent trip, I decided to give Mac's Acadian a try. The food was seasoned well and I opted for the Fried Haddock and some jambalaya. Both selections did not disappoint. I visited for lunch on two consecutive days because I enjoyed the food that much and treated a colleague who works in the area.

They the chilled Cajun shrimp for an appetizer, it was insanely good. Seafood chowder was also amazing. Had etoufee for dinner and loved it. Our waitress was attentive without hovering.
