I have been camping here for 5 years with my family. It is safe the kids can go play. Everyone is super friendly. I recommend this campground to all my friends!!!
7 people total were staying while we were there 3 nights in mid-June. We were a party of 4 of theb7! Bathrooms were very bad. 90% of the campground is permanent folks (not while we were there). Very junky. Upon check-in they were to honor our Good Sam, never did. Office hours posted not kept.
Came in July with my son and husband, and had a fantastic stay at Hideaway. Staff was friendly and as was everyone we met while staying there. Nice little pool area to cool off while you’re hanging at the campground. We rented a camper and stayed in one of the pull through spots. The campground is outside of the hustle and bustle of the downtown area but only maybe a 5 minutes to everything. Definitely will be back!
Good and fun!

I was here for silver lake pizza factory, had a seasonal lot here 30 years ago was always nice. The pizza factory is best pizza in the area by far.
Decent campground, mostly seasonal spots. Grass does not grow well in these parts, so most of the sites are sand, which is fine/expected. The showers are apparently cleaned twice a day and are closed for said cleaning. They were pretty gross, so I'm a little skeptical they actually get cleaned that often, but it is what it is.
Playground: Nice playground, lots of older kids playing though.
Toilets: Showers left something to be desired, pretty gross. Bathrooms were cleaner than the showers thankfully.
This campground was my first ever rv trip, so I will give a different perspective.
The campground has 70-89% seasonal sites, which I translated to being long-term ones. Some in their reviews have called this place a trailer park. Maybe at times while taking a walk, it felt like I'm in someone's property as some have built decks, etc.
The place has okay washrooms and showers, which I very much needed as my rv's shower and bathroom were too rv'ish for our first timer liking.
There were many spots open in the campground, which suggests that folks don't prefer this to the silver lake state campground.
The people managing site or more permanent residents , which has also come across in a few reviews , to me seemed nice as I felt good speaking with them. Long term vs short term don't work in such a setting.
Would I come here again? Perhaps NO. SItes are small and unlevel, which made parking and finding level tricky for my rental rv with no leveling system in it.
Another reason is that I'm not a seasoned camper or rv er and I think I prefer a campground where no one is permanent or long term. Nothing against anyone, just don't want the feeling that I got here.
Nice place
