Downtown Trini's and Margarita Joe’s

Always has been my favorite. They treat you like family, have great food, and it’s always a great experience. We come in often with our kids, and sneak date nights in when we can.

All the staff were hustling and cheerful, but for me, the food didn't rise to the occasion. Plus, the ambulance didn't seem at all authentic. Tell-tale: I didn't see any Latino patrons in the restaurant. Hmmm.

It’s been several years since our last time here and they are still a top notch place. The food is always good, the servers are super friendly, and they have a great atmosphere.

Best Mexican food in all of Grand Rapids. Friendly staff and generous cocktails. Very reasonably priced. The kind of place where the owners come around and pat you on the back and ask how everything is. Very accommodating with their menu...if you dont see it just ask. The service is impeccable. Been going there for years.

We waited one hour and forty minutes when we were originally told 20-25 minutes. Understanding they were busy however you should not tell you customers one thing and then when they inquire tell them 20-25 more minutes and it turns out to be over an hour later. Once we were seated our server Maddie was delightful, she took our drink order, and our food order. Shortly after taking our food order she came back out and stated she apologized, but they were out of beans. This is a Mexican restaurant and 7:15 pm, unacceptable. Let me add there were 6 in our party and all but 1 had beans in their dish. My husband asked for a refill on his beverage and it took 15 minutes for the bar to make it. I also want to add that we asked for sour cream and were charged extra. That would be acceptable maybe had we received what we paid for. How can you charge for sour cream when you did not provide beans which we paid for. Unacceptable. I support local businesses and am happy to see them thriving but you do not treat customers who patronize your business like that. Highly dissatisfied and will not be returning.

Wheelchair accessibility: The business has a beautiful patio easily accessible from the main street, and the interior is also on ground level with no steps or impediments to a wheelchair.

The food was great, but the wait was kind of long. They should add staff for the weekend that visiting families like mine who come for the band invitational and went to patronize local businesses.

Born and raised, Michiganer but I live in NC (retired military). Evry year i come home, Trini's is on the menu! I can't say enough about this home town place. Thank you for all the awesome times!!!

Placed an online order at 7:30pm. Was told that there was a 45 minute wait, and I agreed to that. I paid over the phone and the person who took my order told me that they weren't as busy as they were a while ago and my order would be ready in half an hour. Parked in the pickup spot at 8:05. Waited 40 minutes! I then called and asked about my order. Was told that it would be "a few more minutes". I told them I ordered over an hour ago and had to leave for work at 9pm, so I told them thanks a lot for wasting my time and they could just cancel the charges to my card. I was told "Sorry, we're really busy tonight and we had a huge rush of orders.. etc.." An hour and a half wasted waiting for food I never got to eat. Terrible experience. I will never go here again. Even Dominoes pizza comps you a free pizza when they run late. Not this place... Mismanaged?
