This place was average. They do have really tasty cornbread though!

We stopped by the rooftop bar for a quick bite and drink. The service was good but everything else mediocre. Wanting something simple, we ordered chicken strips and a salad; the strips were obviously Gordon Food Service and the salad was half brown. Also, they should put the high-top tables by the wall so you can see the street below, otherwise it feels like any other concrete patio.

We got a gift card for our wedding but they wouldn’t honor it because they changed ownership. We probably would have spent the amount of the gift card and more but now we will likely never try this place because they didn’t honor the previous gift card.

New to Grand Haven and decided to try this restaurant based on the great reviews. We ordered the prime rib, potato gratin, and crab pasta. The prime rib was full of flavor and did not disappoint. The potato gratin was also delicious. However, the crab pasta had a strong fishy taste—more like fish than crab—which was disappointing, so I wouldn’t recommend that dish. Overall, we had a good experience and will definitely come back to try other menu items.

The food was just outstanding! We had salmon, chicken, steak and frites and more. Everything was so good! Atmosphere and service was great too. Next time we’ll try the rooftop!

The whole experience was perfect. Our server Cate was very pleasant and attentive and her recommendations were absolutely spot on. The service by the rest of the staff was ever present and impeccable. Our cocktails were unique and delicious. The food was flavorful and prepared perfectly. My ribeye was cooked to the proper temperature and full of flavor with the herbed butter. My wife's lobster risotto was incredibly tasty. I got the truffled Mac and cheese as a side and everyone wanted more bites of it. We enjoyed Finn's as well, but the new ownership has really pushed things to another level. This is the go-to spot for fine dining on the Lakeshore. Bravo, Atwood's.

I recently dined at Atwood’s expecting a high-quality meal commensurates with their reputation and exorbitant prices. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.

We were approached by the chef, who recommended a steak that he claimed was exceptional. After some discussion, we ordered our steaks cooked medium rare, confident in the chef's expertise. However, when the steaks arrived, it was evident that they were overcooked, far from the medium rare we specifically requested. It felt like a lack of responsibility on the chef's part, as he sent them out knowing they didn’t meet our order.

When we declined the overcooked steaks, the server suggested they could remake them and even said we could take the unsatisfactory steaks home for our dogs. This was incredibly offensive and unacceptable, especially considering that our bill exceeded $1,000.

In summary, I would not recommend [Restaurant Name]. The food, service, and attention to culinary standards do not match what one would expect at these prices. Save your money and seek out a restaurant that values its customers and delivers on its promises.

Our first time here since the change in ownership. Everyone we came on contact with were very welcoming. Delicious meal, the bone-in pork chop was cooked to perfection and the chocolate cake was yummy! It was our server, Jessie's first night and she did a great job! We'll definitely return!

The Food!!! Great service, great atmosphere… as it always was… but now the food is fantastic! Back to our #1 fine dining spot in the area. Had the amazing Australian steak surf & turf special tonight. Wife had the stuffed airline chicken. Also had the lobster bisque, French onion soup and bread service. Took the peanut butter pie and towering carrot cake home to eat tomorrow. Great job Attwoods!

Wow! I am totally blown away at the difference between the former restaurant and Attwood’s! I am so happy they kept all of the same staff and so happy to see them all thriving with proper resources and business owners. I will be sad to no longer see Trevor Rose’s face but excited to see what the future holds. I was in last night (2/15/2025) and could taste the love in my food. Everything tasted so good and I had the best steak of my life as well as an amazing peanut butter pie! Thank you!!!

JUST Opened, but our server was great & exceeded all expectations for a new restaurant. Food was spectacular. Hospitality just tops. Best steak I've had in my life, & I'm an old grumpy. Oysters had lovely presentation & were so fresh. Carrot cake dessert to die for.
If I had one last meal on earth Id have our dinner again we had tonight at Atwoods in Spring Lake. Keep doing this!
