Fishbone's St. Clair Shores

I ordered the fried catfish and it was VERY BLAND AND FRIED SOOO LIGHT IT LOOKED BARELY DONE! i had them put it back in oil and it STILL wasn’t fried hard. Smh the waitress seemed to have an attitude her facial expressions and manners were NOT tip worthy. The red beans and rice taste like they came out a can of tomato soup! This was the worse experience ever and i come here often so im surprised! I can say I won’t return now . My mocktail was mango ginger beer there was NO mango just ginger so much ginger it burned!

First time here the rolls with butter was delicious. My salmon salad was amazing and my Bahama Mama drink was good and strong. They even had a live band. Very nice place.

Michaela the hostess was so wonderful. Super welcoming and probably was the best part of our experience there. We really wanted her to be our server so we could keep talking. But either way perfect person to set the atmosphere!!

I have always loved Fishbones but I took exception to the waitress who took my order.
I ordered the seafood pasta and she said that the order came with soup I ask if I could have any soup and she said yes so I ordered the soup I desired. When the bill came I was charged $10 for the soup. When I took her about the discrepancy she said that it was deemed as an appetizer and I said to her that that's not how she describe it.
After also receiving a 18% gratuity as well.
I'm never going back to the establishment again and the food didn't hit right after the experience. 👎🏾

Service and food are both Louisiana style, so settle in, this one be a quick in and out experience. The food does feel a bit overpriced, but I suppose they have a good atmosphere and seems like there's something for everyone.

We recently dined at Fish Bones in St. Clair. The food itself was pretty good! we ordered a several sushi rolls and enjoyed them overall. The Sapporo was solid, as expected.
That said, the experience was definitely mixed. The sake was a bit overpriced for the portion size, which was disappointing. On top of that, the service was extremely slow. It took a long time to place our order, and once we did, our server wasn’t very attentive throughout the meal.
What made it more frustrating was the automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill. I don’t have an issue tipping at all, I’m happy to tip well for good service but when gratuity is guaranteed and the service doesn’t reflect that level of care, it leaves a bad impression. It felt like the attentiveness just wasn’t there.
There’s potential here because the food was decent, and the restaurant is really nice and spacious.
