First time here, and won't be my last. I live in the area and have heard how great the food was, and it didn't disappoint. Big portions and friendly staff. Great diner! 3/23/24

I love the way Mr. Frank cooks. Went for breakfast last time, and he even put a couple of pieces of fruit without me asking. It was so nice and he always has a smile.

I called and asked do you use canned corned beef, or real corned beef in your corned beef hash? She said real corned beef. So I drove 18 minutes just for this! Absolutely awful this is canned corned beef hash! It smells and tastes like dog food. My first and last experience

Was just there for the first time for Bfast. and Bfast being our main meal of the day the food was good the service was as well. We did get there at a time when they were not busy but several folks did come in ~15 minutes after we arrived. The menu was extensive for breakfast as well as for lunch, we got our food (Ham & cheddar omelet w/potatos and toast as well as a stack of blueberry pancakes) The omelet was large (3 eggs) and the ham & cheese were plentiful although the ham was diced into small bits and I prefer mine more in 1/4" x 1/2" slices and the potatoes were done just right. My wife's pancakes (3) were a good size and easy to cut, we hate pancakes where we need a steak knife to cut them) they had good flavor in addition to the blueberries. The coffee was good if you like strong just a tad below Starbucks, I'm a Tasters Choice person so was a bit strong for me but wasn't bad at all. We will absolutely go back as we eat out 4-5x a week in the morning. Thank you for a pleasant experience

Frank's On The Avenue is one of those small businesses that makes you want to shout from the rooftops to support them. It's one of the few places that has maintained all the comforts of a familial feeling local diner: regulars, hearty & freshly prepared food, coffee refills, and personable conversation. We stumbled in earlier today on the hunt for food after my boyfriend had a minor procedure done around the block (at Ascension St. John Hospital Health Center) where a nurse made the recommendation.Still a little out of it from anesthesia, he asked for his two eggs prepared in two different ways.He and Frank began exchanging playful jokes and, in the spirit of it, Frank ended up making him Mickey Mouse-shaped chocolate chip pancakes with three blueberries on top. The whole interaction was light-hearted and fun, and made everyone's day. Both Frank and our server, who seems to regularly help out when she's not busy teaching Kindergarten, were an absolute joy. Warm, friendly, and personable, but not in the typical, superficial "customer service voice" way. It was much more honest, genuine, and wholesome.Plus, I loved my Country Omelette!I will be recommending Frank's every chance I get. Perfect breakfast diner! We'll have to go back to try their lunch, too.Kid-friendliness: Lots of fun seasonal decorations, kid-friendly food options, and kid-friendly staff.

Great little place, owner was amazing! I ordered off menu...my classic skillet, and I wanted my hashbrowns deep fried. So he sliced up some potatoes thin and fried them like potato chips. They checked up on me often and my coffee cup never emptied.FYI, the parking sucks, but it is worth the navigation to get some this food. Check it out, you'll be pleased!

I visited with my mom who had lived in the neighborhood for 60 years, she didn't know this place existed until I checked Google maps today. As you can see, they are ready for Halloween and customers. The food was very good and the portions were just right. We will be back, maybe for breakfast next time!
