We chose to dine at Hook because of a dish they had posted in Instagram. Sadly, it wasn’t available due to circumstances out of their control. BUT that’s where the disappointment ended! They went out of their way to assure we had the most pleasant dining experience with some amazing food — specifically the seafood bucatini. The service. The atmosphere. The food. Simply amazing! Went for our 35th wedding anniversary. Staff were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. We are now customers for life. Food was some of the best we have eaten in 35yrs. Our complements to Chef Bobby!

My family and I visited on Saturday [1/03/2026] afternoon and had a fantastic experience! From the warm hospitality when we arrived, to the thoughtful recommendations and passionate explanation of the daily fresh-caught fish options everything was exceptional. Our server Nikki (I think that was her name) was knowledgeable about the menu, professional, cheerful, funny and truly went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. The service and the food were outstanding. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers the total package these days, but Hook absolutely hits the mark! We had the crab cakes and Oysters for the appetizer and for dinner the aged Steak, the Mediterranean Brazino, and the tuna sushi. We will be back. Thank you.
We were able to get the last 2 seats New Years Eve 2025. The food and service at the bar were very good. The band Sound Project played great classic rock. Would definitely see them again. We like the atmosphere, food and service. The hostess stand at the front door has a curved wall. It blocks the view of the band and dance floor. And it places tables and chairs in what feels like a restricted area. We would visit more, with friends, IF the dance floor gave us a better invitation. Until then, we’ll keep searching. Happy New Year!

We had dinner here Christmas Eve. Although we made a reservation for 5:30 and arrived on time, they had reflected the reservation at 5:15 and already canceled it. The food is really great. However, our entrees came out first. We were a bit confused. The entries were followed by our soup and salad a few minutes later. We asked the waitress about our crab cake appetizer. They must have forgot it and it came out halfway through our meal. This created a very cluttered table with all the dishes coming out basically at the same time. As we finished a dish, we were moving the empty dishes to the table next to us to create room. One would think the wait staff would come around to clear the empty dishes. The waitress offered us a complimentary bottle of wine. None of us at the table drink and declined the offer. We noticed other tables were getting bottles of wine with bows on them. Either everybody was also getting bad service or this was a gift from the restaurant.

This was our 7-8th time there and decide to leave a review. The building sits on the marina inlet from Lake St Clair and has some of the best boating views in the summer. Their food was amazing, we had appetizers and main courses and everyone (6 of us) we very happy. The ambiance is cool, definitely has an upscale nautical theme but not overwhelming like previous establishments. They have an excellent wine selection and the service was awesome.
